FXO port trhoug optimum voice VOIP service
...ap. Everyone is busy/congested at this time - When I plug the x100p to the phone jack, the dial tone in all of my phones die. Because of the later I'm suspecting that there is some problem with the signaling or voltage detection. My PSTN line is actually from a VoIP modem that runs over the Cablevision network (known as Optimum Voice). Thanks everyone. Carlos __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Optimum online-upload throttling confirmed.
Hello All, I was recently fighting with an optimum online connection in NY. I finally got in touch with someone that confirmed they are throttling my upload connection. I just wanted to make everyone aware of it, so if you have problems if your ping times jump erratically, this could be the cause. Their suggestions were, although you can upload a lot, do not do it constantly. They do not want

how to listen on different sip port for a device?
I'm trying to allow access to the office from home. But the ip provider (cablevision) blocks udp 5060. I can see the register packets leaving on wireshark, but nothing received by office. Changed to port to 6111 and now the packets show up. In the server I've set port=6111 in the device in sip.conf, but * is NOT listening for 6111: netstat -an | grep 5060 tcp 0...

...downloads do not overwhelm normal function or, even more importantly, my imminent conversion to VOIP for all telephone service. I followed the shorewall documentation guide but am not sure if what I have done is the Right Way Of Doing Things. Nor am I satsified with the results so far. I am using CableVision''s Optimum Online for my broadband connection and am about to install SunRocket for my VOIP. I will be attacing the relevant file settings I have used. I''d appreciate any help with tweaking this configuration to maximuze my throughput. My goal is to ensure that, regardless of th...

optimumvoice
Hi. A friend of mine came asking about this VOIP provider. I haven't heard of them so I thought I might ask the list. Anyone has any experience using them (http://www.optonline.net/Home, http://www.optimumvoice.com/index.jhtml)? Not just with Asterisk, even with their supplied HandyTone and a regular analog phone. Thanks -------------- next part -------------- An HTML

Evolution
When I set up the Evolution mail agent, I could find no way to change the outbound port from 25 to 587. I have to do this due to port 25 being blocked by the cable company. Thunderbird is no problem. Altho I don't particularly use Evolution as a mail agent, there are times when I might use it, but its worthless without being able to send mail out to my server. Did I miss something in

Hi, I have a multi-isp configuration both on ppp interfaces. As one of them is 32Mbit/s and the other is 8Mbit/s , I have a weight setting of 4 to 1 as in the following providers file entries: vdsl 1 0x10000 - ppp1 - track,balance=4 adsl 2 0x20000 - ppp0 - track,balance=1 I would also like to have fallback between them so that if one is

Asterisk Jobs
I'm curious why the number of jobs out there requiring Asterisk seems to be pretty low. After looking around dice, monster, careerbuilder etc, I was surprised to find no more than 3-4 employment opportunities with Asterisk throughout the US. Is it really that low? There seems to be a job of opportunities for Cisco and other vendors solutions (duh... GUI's are good... duh). I wonder if
