[ORC] [mlir] Dump assembly from OrcJit
...! Please, MLIR dev, let me know if this debug feature and the solution that Lang describes below is interesting for MLIR. I’ll dig more into the details then but it doesn’t seem too complicated. [LV] [ScalarEvolution] Feedback on bug 34965 - After r311849 Loop Vectorizer crashes with "The instruction should be scalarized"
...e patch for the following bug in LV (https://bugs.llvm.org/show_bug.cgi?id=34965) but I have some concerns about it. I would appreciate if someone with more experience in SE/PSE can provide some feedback about current tentative fix and alternative solutions described in the comments. Thanks! [SCEV][ScalarEvolution] SE limitation impacting LV
...rt a bug accordingly. Your previous comment sounds like "this is a well-known limitation in SCEV" so maybe there is nothing new to report. Output an RWeka model via sink
When I sink the output of an RWeka model to a text file, the output file appears empty: library(RWeka) model = LogitBoost(Species~.,data=iris) print(model) sink("output.txt") print(model) #file output.txt is created, but it is blank sink() Am I doing anything wrong? [SCEV][ScalarEvolution] SE limitation impacting LV
Hi! I would appreciate some feedback from someone with experience in SCEV/SE. D39346 tries to fix an issue in LV (PR34965) that exposes a limitation in SCEV/SE. The best solution to the LV issue might not be a fix at SCEV/SE level but we may want to report/address SCEV/SE limitation as well. For the snippet below, LV expects SE to return a SCEVAddRecExpr for %21. However, SE returns ((4 * (zext

[VPlan] Dead instructions are invariant to VFs when build vplan
Hi, I noticed that the dead instructions collected when build vplan are invariant to different ranges of VFs since the original loop is not changed. Maybe DeadInstructions should be treated as a data member of LoopVectorizationPlanner and initialized by collectTriviallyDeadInstructions() in plan()? Cheers, Shixiong (Jason) Xu -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was

When I try to use a share with permissions for mpcadmin unix user, I realize that smbd takes the first map (bea user) and

[VPlan] about vectorization factor selection
Hi, Current loop vectorizer uses a range of vectorization factors computed by MaxVF. For each VF, it setups unform and scalar info before building VPlan and the final best VF selection. The best VF is also selected within the VF range. for (unsigned VF = 1; VF <= MaxVF; VF *= 2) { // Collect Uniform and Scalar instructions after vectorization with VF.

RFC: [LV] any objections in moving isLegalMasked* check from Legal to CostModel? (Cleaning up LoopVectorizationLegality)
All, I'm trying to refactor LoopVectorize such that it has better conformance to VPlan vision going forward (http://www.llvm.org/docs/Proposals/VectorizationPlan.html). All VP*Recipe class definitions are now moved to VPlan.h, and I have a patch under review to move LoopVectorizationPlanner class out of LoopVectorize.cpp (https://reviews.llvm.org/D41420). Next thing I'm working on is

Loop Distribution pass
Hi, I found with the help of the optimization remarks a loop that could not be vectorized, but if loop distribution was enabled this may happen, which it in fact did with a very significant benchmark improvement (~25%). I tried (on SystemZ) to enable this pass, and found that it only affected a handful of files on SPEC. This means I could enable this without worrying about any regressions on

New R core member
We are pleased to announce that John Chambers has joined the R core team. It is hard to believe that anyone on this list wouldn't know who John is, but just in case: He is the principal designer of the S language and environment, for which he received the ACM Software Systems Award in 1999. John has been very supportive and helpful throughout the development of R. He is joining the core
