centos 8-Streams kernel?
...ehind RHEL for months, I begin to wonder, is it a symptom of something? What? Change of direction or simple lack of resources (recession and quiet quitting and all that jazz)? Is it time to switch to the old way (i.e. Rocky) again? > One thing to note is, we are currently working on moving the c8s process to use the same workflow as the c9s process. That will happen later this year. Right now, I only build what releases to git.centos.org for the c8s branch for the kernel. They are looking to get me a new kernel now. >> On 7. centos 8-Streams kernel?
Heh, Your sentiments on the website very much mirror my own, although I?m more focused on server applications rather than on desktop (we use Macs and Ubuntu for that). When Red Hat announced Streams, I was terrified at first and my first instinct was to switch to Rocky or a similar 1:1 distro, but then thought there might be something good coming out of the whole ordeal. And indeed it did, we

CentOS Stream 8 is transitioning to be ahead of RHEL 8 - Compose push to mirror operations affected
...compose and push-to-mirror jobs to avoid a split-brain situation with 2 separate systems. You may notice a lack of updates to the repos on the mirrors for a few more weeks while this transition is completed. The team's first priority is making sure that Red Hat maintainers take control over the c8s branches in https://gitlab.com/redhat/centos-stream/rpms (and builds in koji) and then the team will return to working on regular composes and push-to-mirror operations. If you have any questions in the interim, please reach out to me. Cheers! -- Brian Stinson -------------- next part ----------...

Removing unused dependencies is optional. dnf remove *subscription* --noautoremove should remove the dependent packages but keep thee unused dependencies if you want them. There's also a setting in /etc/dnf/dnf.conf to set the default behaviour of the autoremove
