Cannot Mirror RPOOL, Can''t Label Disk to SMI
Dear ZFS experts,
I have 2 SATA 500 GB Hard Drive on my Dual Core PC
I have installed OpenSolaris 2008.11 using Live CD I got from Sun Tech Days in Singapore
Now, using all the guidelines I got here at Indiana Discussion, I can''t attach my second drive to rpool to make them mirror
Initially I was playing around with similar configuration in VirtualBox, and it does not succeed. Finally

zpool import of bootable root pool renders it unbootable
I am running OpenSolaris 2008.05 as a PV guest under Xen. If you import the bootable root pool of a VM into another Solaris VM, the root pool is no longer bootable.
It is related to the device associated to the pool, which is originally c4d0s0, but on import (-f) becomes c0d2s0 in this case. Afterwards, booting the original image results in a kernel panic because, I think, zfs_mountroot() cannot mount the root path (which is evidently now wrong).
I this fixable? How does one "mount" (import) a bootable zpool without wrecking...

Accidentally added disk instead of attaching
Hi,
I wanted to add a disk to the tank pool to create a mirror. I accidentally used zpool add ? instead of zpool attach ? and now the disk is added. Is there a way to remove the disk without loosing data? Or maybe change it to mirror?
Thanks,
Martijn
