v1.2.rc5 imap ignores configuration reloads
...after changing the mail_executable in the imap {?} section I have to restart Dovecot v1.2.rc5, otherwise the changes are not accepted. With Dovecot v1.1.x (tested with v1.1.11 and v1.1.16) it's enough to send a SIGHUP to the dovecot process. Regards, Pascal -- The trapper recommends today: c01dcofe.0916521 at localdomain.org

CRAM-MD5 authentication but plain-md5 password storage.
Hi all, Got a question on configuring dovecot, I'm still new at this so I might be doing this all wrong. I want dovecot to authenticate the mail client using CRAM-MD5 so I've setup the config in dovecot.conf: auth default { mechanisms = cram-md5 passdb sql { # Path for SQL configuration file, see doc/dovecot-sql-example.conf args = /etc/dovecot/dovecot-sql.conf

Account Migration Tool
I don't know if this tool already exists, or if not how difficult it would be to implement, but the following is an excerpt from the man page the developer needs to write ;) - "imapcopy", a command-line utility that connects to a given IMAP account and copies the mails to a second IMAP account. This is accomplished using only IMAP commands and may be used with any IMAP compliant

Tracing sieve execution
I have just recently begun learning how to use sieve. For the most part, it works fine. The problem is that I have created some rather complicated rules. Occasionally, an e-mail will get sorted incorrectly and I am not able to easily determine what rule caused it to occur. Is there any way or utility that I could use to actually see what rule or line in the sieve file caused the action? --

basic conf error? v1.2.11
I just downloaded 1.2.11 and compiled from source including mysql support and using default directory locations. I walked thru the included example conf file and tweaked it out and get an invalid configuration file. I trimmed out all of the commented sections to make the non-default config super easy to navigate during troubleshooting. Remaining config which gives an error of

Delivered-To header without +extension ?
I'm running postfix 2.6.2 and dovecot 2.0.9, and I've just switched to delivering mails to dovecot via lmtp. It looks like the Delivered-To: header is slightly different - it doesn't seem to include the +extension? Is this intentional or does the +extension somehow get in the way? /Per Jessen, Z?rich
