[LLVMdev] Runtime linker issue wtih X11R6 on i386 with -O3 optimization
I was told that my writeup lacked an example and details so I reproduced
the code that X uses and I was able to boil down the issue to a couple
of lines of code. Sorry again for the length of this email.
Code was compiled on OpenBSD with clang 3.0-release.

MTU and Voice Delay (latency??)
Our users are experiencing some unacceptable delay when trying to have a

Here is the setup

Samba -> WinXP: slow transfers, partial solution
Hello All,
I'm running Samba 3.0.24 as PDC and file server on Gentoo Linux,
AMD64, 2.6.19 kernel, 100MBit/s network, and experience quite slow
file transfers from Samba to WinXP SP2 clients: the speed is varying,
but is about 1-2Mb/s at best.
I spent quite some time investigating the issue, here are the
intermediate results:
1) This happens only when transferring _from_ _Samba_ to

[LLVMdev] [lldb-dev] How is variable info retrieved in debugging for executables generated by llvm backend?
All of this information is contained in the DWARF debug info that you must generate. Are you generating DWARF? If not, you will need to. If so, please attach an example program that contains DWARF and specify which function you are having trouble getting variable information for.

Steam in Wine
Hello,
I am trying to load up Steam via Wine (Latest Wine and Latest steam client) in x86 Debian Lenny (5). So far I have managed to install Team Fortress 2 (Using the DVD based Installer) and have managed to get the UI to show up for about 5 minutes and then crash. If I attempt to startup Steam it connects just fine, then the main window shows up and this Valve Hardware Survey box comes up, and

[LLVMdev] How is variable info retrieved in debugging for executables generated by llvm backend?
Hi, all
I ported llvm backend and lldb recently. Both tools can basically work.
lldb is able to debug programs in asm style and frame unwinding is OK.
But "frame variable XX" does not work because lldb is not able to determine
the address of
XX from debug info.
Can someone give any clue?
Thanks in advance.

Old Macromedia app shows black regions of anim
Hi,
I've got my hands on a collection of old (the software on them is copyrighted in 1998-2000) cd's with a suite of games for kids called Aprendilandia.
Unfortunately it doesn't quite work (I'll try to find a Win-comp around to see if it works under real windows, but in the meantime I'm asking for help here.
The problem is that animation doesn't work (an image can move

files not moved immediately to final destination from temp location after rsync returns with success
Hi,
I am using rsync version 3.0.7 on an arm linux based embedded device. The
device pulls data periodically from a rsync server and stores the files on
an SD card.
The partial, temp and final rsync destinations all reside on the SD card.
I came across an issue where it seems that the rsync call returned with a
success but the files that it pulled are not
moved immediately to its final

slightly overzealous RNG seeding?
Hello again,
I was testing today's SNAP (openssh-SNAP-20000830.tar.gz) in my
Solaris 2.6-8 environment, when I found some problems with the ssh2
support.
While connecting, it seeds the RNG something like 32 times! And then
once connected, it seeds again 2 or 3 times with *every* keystroke! This
makes for some slow going. This happens on all of the Solaris boxes I
tried. Binary was

[LLVMdev] Proposed implementation of N3333 hashing interfaces for LLVM (and possible libc++)
Hello folks,
TL;DR: This is my proposed hashing interface based on a proposed standard
hashing interface. It also is implemented with a much faster and higher
quality algorithm than the current one. This is an *early draft* of the
code, looking for initial feedback.
There has been recent interest in improving the quality and consistency of
LLVM's approach to hashing. In particular, getting

Windows 7 64-bit clients have a very high latency (constantly rising) using of tinc. 32-bit clients are working with normal speed.
Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

APC BACK UPS 2200 model BZ2200BI-BR (update)
Turns out another user reported the same issue with a slightly different model: https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/231 <https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/231>
The "stty -f /dev/cuaU0 raw" trick should help, but I am confused as to why FreeBSD has different "raw" settings than what is set up at the same time as the baud rate:
