Calling Number Verification Number? for BellSouth/AT&T
BellSouth (now AT&T) has a number you can dial and it will play back
voice prompts with your calling number? It's used by their techs with a
buttset in identifying analog 1FB lines...
Eg Dial 704-210-3233, it answers
"Seven-Zero-Four-Five-Five-Nine-Two-One-Two-Two" if your dialing from
704-559-2122

Voicemail to a commercial PBX/key phone system
Hello.
I've seen some mentions of asterisk possibly being used as an inexpensive
voicemail attachment to a commercial PBX etc.
Does anyone here, have experience of using it in this fashion ?
What commercial systems have been successfully attached too ?
How is the attachment made ?
Analog, digital ?
If anyone has successfully accomplished this, I would like to hear the make

CallerID hosed
This is with an x100p (the motorola chipset)
Two problems.
Looks like CALLERIDNAME is being used uninitialized.
On my other phones the callerid is fine and my buttset shows that the
callerid passes the checksum.
This is the relevant portion of extensions.conf
exten => s,1,Answer
exten => s,2,SetCallerID(H ${CALLERIDNAME} <${CALLERIDNUM}>)
exten => s,2,Dial(${MGCP_ALL})
Here is the console output.

Wait before dialing ( was Pause during dialing to enter another number)
...l(${PSTN}/w${EXTEN:1})
So, I modified slightly to fit my dialplan:
exten => _8NXXXXXX,1,Dial(ZAP/g1/w${EXTEN:1})
and it MAY wait, but NOT off hook.
The problem still remains, Asterisk begins to dial before dial tone is
returned from the CO
This was determined by monitoring the CO line with a buttset
Since this has been talked about on the list before, I have to wonder if
is version dependent, or if it works at all.
Anyone KNOW that this works? And with what version of Asterisk?

Weird issues with TDM400P
...ta burst isn't supposed to happen
until *after* my phone goes on-hook. Any idea what's up here?
Second, one of our ports has static on it. A tenant moved in and we
configured their fax for our fourth (until then unused) FXS port. They
had numerous fax problems, and when I connected a buttset up to their
wall jack, there were minor static issues. I swapped their fax
connection to a different port on the TDM400P, and the static went
away. I put a different line (to elsewhere in the building) into their
usual fax port on the TDM400P, and the static showed up there. So, the
problem...

Help 60Hz Hum?
Hey guys,
I am trying to diagnose a hum in my FXO lines
I am using an Adtran 750 with 8 FXO ports. I am getting a pretty bad hum
on the line during a call.
I have checked the Telco side of the 66 block and there is no hum there
so it's my problem to fix.
I have tried to lower the gain but that reduces the call volume to much.
Where else should I be looking?
Setup as follows
