busydetect and X100P hangups
FYI to anyone else who may be experiencing random hangups; I removed the busydetect=yes lines from the conf files on my asterisk servers, and haven't had a hangup since. I had done that once before and it didn't seem to have much of an effect, so I'm not breaking out the champagne yet. But so far over dozens of calls both made and received since I took that line o...

X100P - Busydetect / calls being disconnected - Australia; tip.
...ll is answered, 5 quick chirps are sent down the line. However, because of the bug in the Cisco 7960 causing the first 1/2 a second or so of a conversation to be cut off - I didn't hear these chirps and as such I didn't think of the next bit: Basically, because I had busycount set to 3 and busydetect set to yes, these chirps were being detected by the busydetect function and causing the call to be disconnected. I raised the busycount to something safe (8) and this no longer happened. This has me worried for a while, especially as I'd just disconnected the old PBX a few days ago and spent a...

Random Hangups/Disconnects
Well, I thought and hoped my issue of random hangups on our TDM400P were related to busydetect=yes in zapata.conf. The behavior of a call being hungup has not changed, however, since setting the busydetect option to 'no'. Again, the only affected user is my loud talker... What are some causes/solutions to seemingly random call disconnects on Zap channels that people have seen? I hav...

busydetect and random hangups
Hi, I'm having random hangup problems with zap channels. If I turn busydetect off in Zapata.conf, * fails completely to detect a user hangup in the middle of a script. On the other hand, if I turn it on, everything works much better, but long calls tend to be hung up without a motive. Any other parameter that I can try? Any #define that I can tweak and recompile? Wil...

New busydetect routines for analog channels (FXO mostly)
Hello, I've commited the new busydetect routine to CVS. You need to cvs update asterisk of course and then choose it in asterisk/Makefile and recompile asterisk. All you X100P users that had the problems with false hangups or the card not being able to detect the busy tone please check that. In the asterisk/Makefile you need to find a l...

Problem with busydetect and cell phones
I have a very strange problem I'm hoping someone has encountered already. I've scoured the internet for an answer to this one. My phone company provides no disconnect supervision. Hence I'm forced to use the busydetect feature. I have a TDM400 with two FXO ports. If I call from an internal extension to a landline and then hangup the landline Asterisk detects the busy signal correctly and clears the line. If I call from an internal extension to a cell phone and then hangup the cell phone Asterisk will never...

busydetect=yes shows answered call on originating caller hangup
simple setup... two * boxen, X100P in each pots(1) --> ZAP/1 --> *(1) --> IAX2 --> *(2) --> ZAP/1 --> pots(2) with busydetect=yes and callprogress=yes in zapata.conf, calling from pots(1) through to pots(2) we get the following -- Zap/1-1 is ringing -- Zap/1-1 is ringing etc, and if nobody picks up, then it timeouts and hangups, good however, if during the ringing, pots(1), the calling party, hangups the phone,...

X100P random hangups.
I have a couple of X100P's in my system and while on calls they just randomly hang up for no reason. I have tried messing with the busydetect and callprogress setting them to yes and no same and still random hangups. Is there another setting I should be looking at? My zap config looks like. context = inbound-work include => extensions signalling = fxs_ks group = 1 callg...

Patch: Inbound-only busydetect
Hi there, I got really tired of false hangups, specially when someone calls from SIP/IAX/whatever to PSTN, which makes no sense in using busydetect in the zap channel, as the caller will eventually hear the busy tones and hangup, causing the zap channel to be "freed" as well... After suggesting that the busy detect be enabled only for inbound calls, and finding other people that think like me, I decided to try to do it. I have no i...

Hangup Detection with busydetect
My telco doesn't provide Disconnect Supervision or Polarity Change. So I figured I have to detect hangups with busydetect=yes in zapata.conf. I tested it. When the telco sends a busy tone * detects it and hangsup. So far so good. The problem is the telco doesn't always send a busy after remote hangup. Most of the time it sends a congestion tone. I am guessing these tones from what I read on indications.conf....

busydetect=yes, busycount=5: hangup automtically without reason, why?
Hi All; Why busydetect=yes caused this autmatic hangup happens without any reson (while responding to entering the digits in the IVR) I do not know! And what is the solution I do not know. I used busydetect=yes and busycount=5 in zapata.conf to help me in hangup when detect the busy tone, but I faced the following probl...

Can I tell if it hung up due to busydetect or disconnect supervision?
...e line is offhook to the 47 volts when it is onhook. But * would only recognize hangup if I unplugged the PSTN line. Otherwise it would play my voicemail menu over and over if I hung up without choosing an extension, good thing I put in a counter and did Hangup after a few tries. So, I turned on busydetect, and now disconnect works (I was surprised that it worked right away, I didn't even need to find out where the busy signal is defined, maybe the busy here is the same or close enough to the US tone), but I was wondering, is there any way I can get the console to let me know whether it disconnec...

Why do Zaptel calls drop all of a sudden? Could busy detect be the problem?
Hi Guys, I am getting a complain that call on analogue lines (Sangoam A400D) drops all of a sudden. chan_capi busydetect
Hi, I'm using asterisk as softphone for a certain application. It uses chan_capi for PSDN connection and chan_oss and the manager as user interface. When calling someone, who is busy, I can hear at the speaker the busy indication, but the manager command "Status" still tells "Ringing" (chan_oss) or "Dialing" (chan_capi) (until it times out). Is chan_capi

UK Disconnect supervision with TDM400P
...with OPERMODE=UK. All's working well, except if I get an incoming call through my bt line, and the remote party hangs up, I get approx 20secs of the bt line hungup tone before asterisk hangs up, which leads (if nothing else) to the well documented 20secs of beep on vm problem :) I have tried: busydetect=yes / busycount=7 / other busycounts / callprogess=yes but none of these make any difference. I have loadzone/defaultzone=uk and country=uk in indications.conf and fxs_ks signalling. I've seen mention of the different BUSYDETECT flags in the * Makefile, but I can't seem to find exactly wh...

TDM11B Hang up detection not working in France ?
.../ 1 fxs ), 1 phone, 1 softphone I'm in France When someone from PSTN calls and hangs up before the call is answered, internal extension keeps ringing until timeout occurs. PSTN line keeps busy. Hangup detection doesn't work. I've played with different paremeters (callprogress, busydetect, busycount, hanguponpolarityswitch) without success. I've googled around and it seems this problem is specific to France. Is there any French people in this list that has a TDM11B that hangs up correctly ? regards Pascal OFFREDO ___________________________________________________...
