OS/390 openssh
Hello Steve, Hello OpenSSH-portable developers, I am building OpenSSH for our (EBCDIC-based) BS2000 mainframe operating system, and I noticed you do the same for OS/390. Because my initial ssh port was based on IBM's OSS port (ssh-1.2.2 or some such), I thought it was fair enough to help with a little co-operation; we might come up with a unified EBCDIC patch which could be contributed to

dbPowerAMP, CDex / Re: Freeware windows ogg audio CD bur ner?
There's another nice Windows program in the pipeline: Feurio 2.0 (www.feurio.de) will have OggVorbis and MonkeyAudio support. Feurio is a all-in-one solution for CD ripping/burning specialized on audio CD. Feurio supports high speed, high-quality on-the-fly ripping and encoding, and on-the-fly decoding/burning, too. Feurio supports allmost all available CD writers, and there is a

Password from open filedescriptor
The included patch adds a new option to the ssh client: -d fd Read the password from file descriptor fd. If you use 0 for fd, the passphrase will be read from stdin. This is basically the same as GPG:s parameter --passphrase-fd. Flames about why this is a bad idea goes into /dev/null. I really need to do this. There are lots of ugly Expect-hacks out there, but I want a more clean

Rsync performance increase through buffering
I've been studying the read and write buffering in rsync and it turns out most I/O is done just a couple of bytes at a time. This means there are lots of system calls, and also most network traffic comprises lots of small packets. The behavior is most extreme when sending/receiving file deltas of identical files. The main case where I/O is buffered is writes from the server (when io

Fwd: Re: Finney's fiducial confidence intervals of LD50
thanks a lot Renaud. but i was interested in Finney's fiducial confidence intervals of LD50 so to obtain comparable results with SPSS. But your reply leads me to the next question: does anybody know what is the best method (asymptotic, bootstrap etc.) for calculating confidence intervals of LD50? i could "get rid" of Finney's fiducial confidence intervals but

doveadm output format changes
It appears that doveadm output format changes every now and then, without particular notice. For example, the following command: doveadm -f pager mailbox status 'messages recent' '*' did output something like this until v2.2.24 : mailbox: Mailbox1 messages: 58 recent: 12 ^L mailbox: Mailbox2 messages: 128 recent: 0 but switched to that in v2.2.26 : Mailbox1 messages: 58

Problem Matching Exact Values
Sorry for the basic question - bur I ran into something I haven't noticed before and would appreciate a little more perspective on my problem. I am using R to determine if various thresholds are hit (or surpassed) in a data set.? If a threshold is surpassed, I have had no problems identifying it.? However, when the threshold is matched *exactly*, not all cases are being identified. Please

p-value for non linear model
Hello, I want to understand how to tell if a model is significant. For example I have vectX1 and vectY1. I seek first what model is best suited for my vectors and then I want to know if my result is significant. I'am doing like this: model1 <- lm(vectY1 ~ vectX1, data= d), model2 <- nls(vectY1 ~ a*(1-exp(-vectX1/b)) + c, data= d, start = list(a=1, b=3, c=0)) aic1 <- AIC(model1)

hints through a Local channel
Hello all, I am trying to set up a dynamic channel to be used as an Agent dialer for a queue - you know, trying to replace AgentCallBackLogin for an Asterisk 1.6. I would like to do something like: [myagents] exten => XXX,1,Set(realchan=${DB(myagent/${EXTEN})}) exten => XXX,n,Dial(${realchan},tT,60) This basically fetches the actual channel to be used for dialling and dials it. What I
