rsync 2.5.6 globbing bug
...entries in size, and the above
archive directory contains more than 1000 files. argv should probably be
allocated with malloc and grown as necessary with realloc. I'm happy to
submit a patch if that is acceptable.

rsync 2.5.6 timeout bug

track and my understanding is correct. I'm currently completely unable to
use rsync to reliably mirror CPAN to the inside of our corporate firewall,
so I have a strong vested interest in fixing these issues.
