[LLVMdev] ADDE on HW that doesn't have flags?
Thanks - that solves both problems. In the future, HW may have built in ADDE support, but will likely still not have flags - it'll just read 3 registers and write two. Any thoughts there? Thanks, Dan On Oct 27, 2008, at 12:07 PM, Andrew Lenharth wrote: > On Mon, Oct 27, 2008 at 10:11 AM, Daniel M Gessel <gessel at apple.com> > wrote: >> The language I'm

[LLVMdev] RFC: Plugable intrinsics
I can think of many people that use LLVM and maintain out of tree extentions that will likely never be incorporated into mainline. Maintaining out of tree intrnisics takes a fair amount of work and leads to the choice of using a single version of LLVM for a project (and thus have to manually incorporate bug fixes) or risk untimely breakage. I propose that the plugin be extended to allow plugable

High CPU on multiple syncs on Win2K
...server, a seperate Rsync.exe is spawned. Each Rsync uses up to 20% CPU util. Obviously, the machine is constantly running at 100% CPU. Not desireable, since I want to add yet another 30 sites! Do you people think that if we would use a Linux server instead of a Win2K server, the CPU would be less burdoned? Thx already! [PATCH net V2 1/2] virtio-net: don't respond to cpu hotplug notifier if we're not ready

Filtering it one time is one thing. Potentially acting on that filter 100 or so times a day... That's completely another.

[LLVMdev] ADDE on HW that doesn't have flags?
Thanks very much for your help. I didn't quite understand how adde really uses flags in, say x86 or any of the other architectures I looked at. It seemed to declare it used EFLAGS, but little else: like how would you feed a zero in for the carry. Or I suppose you would have to start such a sequence off with an addc, and I happened to hit the adde (and it bailed) first (because the

OggPCM version / header finalization
Hi John, all, I still have at least 3 issues: 1) What are we trying to achieve with the "source-ID"? 8 [uint] Source ID (Unique amongst all OggPCM streams in the physical stream) Are we trying to separate the different channels that may be interleaved with each other inside the flat multi-channel sample stream? Interpretation 1: ----------------- So, would each channel be in a

Re: RedHat 5.X Security Book
[mod: This discussion has been going on "offline" with an occasional CC to linux-security. By the time I got around to do another "moderation round" this one was the latest. Everyone is keeping good context, so I think you all will be able to follow the discussion. --REW] >>>>> <seifried@seifried.org> writes: >> The only thing I can see coming out
