Vorbis streems, old and new
Hi all: Well, after making the change to make use of the CVS trees and switching to ices2 (as opposed to the libshout example streamer), the icecast server at bumpy.braille.uwo.ca:9000 is back up. I've put my old 22khz mono files (encoded with beta4) back up on test.ogg. In addition, we've implemented a vorbis subset of Kirk Reiser's egoplay MP3 stream. You can now hear all the

Nullsoft Vorbis Decoder v1.11a (BUG)
Hello I'm new to the list. I went through recent archives and didn't find any mention of this, sorry if this has already been discussed. When listening to a stream (http://bumpy.braille.uwo.ca:9000/test.ogg) winamp crashed after a few minutes. When i tried going back in and went back to the stream it worked for a few minutes again and crashed. The times are different (8:27 and 6:20, and

Winamp decoder plugin user-agent ident
Hi: Have been testing the latest winamp plugins on my icecast2 stream (http://bumpy.braille.uwo.ca:9000/test.ogg <plug plug>) and I noticed that in the field where the player/browser is listed in the log entries I see Mozilla for the winamp plugin. Isn't this ummmm. wrong? Geoff. --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage:

[Linux] Samba as Wins Server and Domain Controller
As much as I love Samba, OpenSores, Linux and apple pie, setting Samba as an NT domain controller used to be a bit of a hack that required a lot of shoe horning, and a lot of reading, and experimentation. Get the books, sign up for the support email list and be prepared for a bumpy ride. The problem is that certain things *should* work a certain way, but such is not always the case and you

Directory listing disappeared
Hi: Last week, I upgraded an icecast2 server and enabled the directory code. The primary streams that run on it showed up nicely. As some may recall, I had issues with libshout compiling (seems the sources got hosed somehow, a fresh checkout fixed everything after all else failed), and I just compiled the latest ices2. I noticed, with some surprise, that the config file hadn't changed in

a simple ices2 scheduler
Hi Folks: I have written a simple scheduler for ices2. It basically plays a background playlist in sequential, random or shuffle mode. Each time it is called by ices it checks to see if there is a file in /tmp and if there is builds it into a request file which plays immediately after the current piece finishes. You can use 'at' or cron to set up jobs to place playlists in /tmp to be

Likelihood returning inf values to optim(L-BFGS-B) other
Hello, A couple of ideas... Im not clear on your whole problem however... Consider making use of the lgamma function, which returns the natural log of the gamma function. This may help. The gamma function gets awfully, big very fast. Also multivariable likelihoods can be bumpy like a mountain range, with minor peaks and valleys. It is possible that your likelihood has such a shape. Maybe

unmodified_drivers DKMS package
Hey folks, I'd like to get a .deb of the unmodified_drivers put together. I just filed ITP, and I would love to have your help with it. http://wp.colliertech.org/cj/?p=653 I've never built a kernel package before, nor have I used DKMS, so it's going to be a bumpy ride for me. Do any of you have experience with these tools? Have you built the unmodified_drivers modules recently?

MS AD Tools
Hello all, I'm in the process of trying to get Samba4 up and running as AD for my company. It's been a bumpy, but productive road. However, one thing that I'd like clarification on before we go live (which hopefully isn't too far out), is the use of MS Administrative Tools. The wiki mentioned using 'Users and Computers'. I have used that successfully; however there are

resolution of windows metafiles
I am having trouble getting smooth-appearing curves in figures produced as windows metafiles using R (R-1.1.1 on Windows 98). When I import them into a word processor (either MS Word 97, or WordPerfect 9.0), the figures appear only slightly bumpy on screen, but when printed, there is a clear jaggedness reminiscent of aliasing. Is there a fix for this (if the answer is "upgrade to 1.2",

[LLVMdev] [3.7 Release] RC2 has been tagged, Testing Phase II begins
Dear testers, 3.7.0-rc2 was just tagged. Please test, build binaries, upload to the sftp, and report results to this thread. A lot of fixes have been applied since rc1, both to the build script and the code in general, so hopefully it will be less bumpy this time. >From this point, I will no longer accept merge requests to finish existing features; it's now bug-fixes only. Thanks again

Ices issues
Hi: I ran a live test broadcast today and noticed a couple of things that concerned me. Now, I'll admit I was pushing my P2/266 pretty hard, but it kept things going so I'm guessing that it's not unreasonable for me to expect this to work. I was sending two streams encoded from the sound card, one at 22khz mono quality -1 and the other at 44.1 stereo quality 0. I was also saving
