Changing the imaps port #
Dovecot 2.3.4, FreeBSD 11.2 Due to comcast buisness ISP intercepting imaps I need to have my clients connect to non-standard port (9999). Previously I had been using stunnel to receive the imaps connection and forward it to the imap port over 127.0.0.1. But I would like to retire stunnel and have my imap clients connect remotely. I have configure...

Changing the imaps port #
Yes, I am pretty sure about that. I originally was connected via AT&T DSL but wanted the fast access of cable modem. I need permanent IPs which required me to contract with Comcast buisness. Once I switched over, I was no longer able to access my imap server, which was as I mentioned, stunnel listening on the imaps port and forwarding to dovecot listening on the imap port. I was getting connection refused on my laptop (thunderbird) email client when I was not at home. I validated t...

Any solutions? It would me neat to hear about peoples experiences with MeetMe, how many simultanius users is a practical maximum? On what platform? Also i have nooted an new option "d - dynamic add conference", what is the...

application on server
Hi! I have Q, we have an application in the office that needs to be run on every computer. It is a "client interface" to our buisness database. On the MS machines, this one is run as a shortcut to the .exe file that resides on the fileserver. This, and 4 lines in the registry is all that is needed.(except for some DLL's of course) So, can I do something similar with wine on a Linux machine? Or is it easier to try to install t...

Roaming profiles with Samba3
...ing profiles. WIth that in mind, anyone care to share how roaming profiles are working? Any tips or suggestions on ways to improve roaming profiles on my end? Lastly, is it possible to setup a hours of operations for shares on samba? For example, maybe you only want shares to be available during buisness hours and closed on the weekends. Is there a way to do that with samba, or would you need to use something like the poledit utility? I appreciate everyones feedback and help. Jason

Schema version 87 and windows Hello
Hi all, I would like to set up windows Hello (in the sense user and management are pressuring me) but for both option the schema would need to be at least 87 (windows 2016). I looked on the roadmap, bugzilla but couldn't find anything regarding this topic. Would you know when this version would be available and what is needed in order to achieve so? As a separate question, do you know good

manipulating (extracting) data from distance matrices
...'t see it. I've thought of converting it using as.matrix(), which would allow me to pull out particular rows, but I'm only interested in the triangluar matrix. Now, if there was a way to as.matrix(dmat) such that I got the bottom triangular matrix and zeros elsewhere, then I'd be in buisness. Any suggestions on how to pull that off would be helpful. I'm certainly interested in any tips or tricks anyone might have for working with distance matrices, or any material that people can point me towards. Cheers, Mike -- Michael D. Conditional Sampling
Hi, I am hoping someone can help me with a sampling question. I am using the following function to sample 10 unique observations: x <- sample(1:100, 10, replace=F) Given the first 10 observations, I need to sample another 5 unique observations from the remainder. I essentially want to do a Monte Carlo type analysis on the results. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks -- View this

Workflow + Rails
Is there any project or solution for an easy integration of a WFE / WfMS into rails? I''m quite new to this topic, but I probably need a small subset of workflow patterns (or whatever the correct term is) only. Any pointers are welcome. -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

Suggestions and questions
...ch controlling how much to prioritize audio and video respectively (for example: 0=top audio priority, 1=equal, 2=top video priority). The point would be the ease of predicting file size and perhaps more important the ease of matching corresponding video and audio qualities. 2. Instead of this buisness of predicting file size, could there be an option where you first deside file size? Is it possible to scan the video and audio and to somehow register an "ease of compression" value for bunches of audio samples and video frames? If yes, then these values could then be used to determin...

Schema version 87 and windows Hello
...years back to ingest it. And at the base, Windows Hello is just PKINIT under the hood, and our Heimdal KDC knows about that. Teaching it about the self-signed certificates used (rather than traditional CA enrolment) also wouldn't be impossible. But the big trouble is that the 'Hello for buisness' enrolment process is all wrapped up in a flow via Active Directory Federation Services, and we have *none* of that stack. Depending on the size of your organisation you might want to help us make progress on some of this, but in the meantime I suggest using a traditional smart card or a softw...

Place of functional levels in Samba4 roadmap
Hi Samba list, As you know, security is currently the buzzword for most critical organizations. Active Directory implementations are an important node of all the security chain.
