codec_g729a implicated in file descriptor buildup
Hello, I wonder if anyone else has noticed this. I see a pair of calls to pipe() within the codec_g729a, and suddenly, I have a leaked file descriptor that remains until asterisk dies. Now, maybe no-one sees this, mainly because I have no g729 licenses on the machines where this happens. And conversely, I haven't yet studied servers that do have licenses. Why have codec_g729a.so loaded if

reference counting bug related to break and next in loops
...estigating the return value of a while loop. I added some information on a similar bug in for loops. I think he was using 2.9.0 but I see the same problem on today's development version of 2.10.0 (svn 48703). Should the semantics of while and for loops be changed slightly to avoid the memory buildup that fixing this to reflect the current docs would entail? S+'s loops return nothing useful - that change was made long ago to avoid memory buildup resulting from semantics akin the R's present semantics. [ANNOUNCE] xf86-input-evdev 2.10.2
This release restores wheel emulation on absolute devices and drops the forced direction locking for scroll buildup during wheel emulation since it made it almost impossible to actually scroll in both directions. Since horizontal scrolling is disabled by default anyway, we don't need this lock. Peter Hutterer (5): man: add a warning that wheel emu inertia must be set and it isn't inertia Res...

[PATCH 07/34] sparc: reuse asm-generic/barrier.h
...this series is about, and what the motiviation for this change is. I'm also highly frustrated, in general, with mix-and-match CC: lists for patch series. Just put everyone relevant in the CC: for the entire series. That way I can easily inspect other parts of the series to see infrastructure buildup, and examples of other conversions or versions of the change. Thanks.

When using xl toolstack stuff left in xenstore at /local/domain/0/backend
...online = "0" state = "5" domain = "vm_98_0003cc" protocol = "vt100" hotplug-status = "connected" There are a ton of these that build up, but go away if I restart xenstore. Any clues as to what may be causing this buildup? Thanks, Chris _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xen.org http://lists.xen.org/xen-users

[PATCH 3/4] virtio: console makes incorrect assumption about virtio API
The get_buf() API sets the second arg to the number of bytes *written* by the other side; in this case it should be zero as these are output buffers. lguest gets this right (obviously kvm's console doesn't), resulting in continual buildup of console writes. R-beta: Segmentation fault
...ximising the likelihood function with R's nlm() function. I used to run my code in S-plus but because I frequently ran out of memory (because of S-plus' silly memory management), I decided to try porting my code to R. In R (on a linux platform), everything seems to work smoothly (no memory buildup according to gc() ), except that I, every now and then, get the error message "Segmentation fault - core dumped". I haven't quite figured out which part of my code is generating the problem; the error actually seems to pop up at different places in my code depending on the exact hist...

Opus and sender and receiver sample rate drift.
Hi All. I have an application where the sample rate of the sender and receiver can vary by a small margin and the latency needs to be maintained within bounds and can't drift significantly and the system has to be able to cope with clock mismatches up to 0.5%. For example, the sender may have a clock rate of 48.1kHz and the receiver may have a clock rate of 47.9kHz. Unfortunately the clock

[LLVMdev] 32bit pointers on a (pure) 64bit architecture
...errors complaining of different value sizes, coming from the difference between the datalayout (ptrsize:i32) and the pointerty (size overruled to i64). in SelectionDag::InferPtrAlignment. I also found out the this method is not called at all (for my (failing) tests) during the initial selection dag buildup. Note: - most of my testing is done on llvm-3.3, but I verified that the same issues are there for llvm-3.4 - I did implement: virtual MVT getScalarShiftAmountTy(EVT LHSTy) const { return MVT::i64; } although I have no good idea why the default for that is mapped to the pointer type... Easiest way to compile custom kernel, for fedora +openswan+xen+patchomatic
I want to compile a custom xenU kernel for a firewall distribution (endianfw, version of ipcop), I can get it to load up but the kernel is missing some modules that aren''t resident. So I want to make a custom version for this domU, I know what I need kernel+openswan+xen+patch-o-matic but I not sure the best way to go about this, do I patch a fedora source or start with a vanilla kernel?

maildirsize problem?
...hat maildirsize is not correctly updated when they delete messages. My personal hypothesis is something like this: - User moves to Trash - Trash is ignored so it is not marked on the maildirsize (?) - User purges trash - Trash is still ignored so it is still not marked (?) Resulting in a buildup of errors in the maildirsize file. Would it be a good idea to mark the maildirsize file when a file is moved to an ignored folder? That could though potentially lead to people just moving to trash instead of deleting. Thank you guys and keep up the good work! -- Alan Mosca Systems Adminis...

Replace NT4 PDC
I have an NT4 PDC that I would like to replace with a Samba server. My network also has a box running MS Exchange and Backoffice (not the same box as the PDC). What's the general roadmap for doing this? Could I install Samba as a BDC and then promote it. Should I create a new domain on Samba and do a big cutover? Or is there a way to just get the necessary info off the PDC and then

I have received some feedback that this problem also occurs on some Linux systems (LinuxPPC) , but not on others (RedHat 7.0). Code: # main function to calculate confidence limits based on ABC method test2.abc <- function(W,T,L) { # Create arrays with correct number of wins, ties...

Ices2 and Jack
>From what I have read on some mailing lists, there is a jack module for ices2 that works quite well. Why isn't this information on the ices2 web page or documentation? Ices is useless to me without this, yet so awesome with it. I saw requests from people for you to do this over a month ago. What's the problem? Thanks, Daniel P.S.
