...ried it with 98/95) and I just hit enter for the password,
it lets me in. No questions asked. So, I pretty much have unlimited read
access to stuff I should not be able to get to.
Best Regards.
If this is the wrong list to send this to, please direct me in the right path.

The bug I reported earlier seems to have been a hoax of sorts. =] The share(s)
I tried it on had full access passwords, but no read-only passwords.
Sorry about this.

They are straight from ftp.gnu.org. What glibc version are they looking for?
I am using 2.0.6. Red Hat uses 2.0.7, but that is alpha.
Any ideas? I don't really want to replace my c libraries.. but.. ?

Puppet and Laptops
I have been looking at Puppet as a possible replacement for cfengine at
our site. One difficulty I''ve had with cfengine that I''m wondering if
Puppet can solve is that of dealing with laptop/mobile users. Since
these laptops move around quite a bit, their IP/hostname is constantly
changing. From playing with puppet a bit, I''ve found that it seems to

Conditional CCA and Monte Carlo - Help!
Hi All,
I am using canonical correspondence analysis to compare a community
composition matrix to a matrix of sample spatial relationships and
environmental variables. In order to parse out how much variance is
explained purely by space (S/E) or the environment (E/S) I am using a
conditional (partial) CCA. I want to test significance via Monte Carlo but
I can not find a way to do this with a

package installations on schedule or manual run
I would like to have packages installed either in the early morning or
whenever I manually choose to do so on a particular machine. I am
trying to convert my existing configuration from cfengine so in that
tool I had something like:
packages:
Hr03|ManualRun::
<package installation commands>
This basically says to install packages if it''s either 3:00-3:59am or if

up2date
I have found a few issues with puppet and the up2date provider (version
0.22.4) that I''d like to run by those who use up2date (to see if others
are experiencing the same issues).
1. Puppet doesn''t seem to find the latest updates of packages that are
already installed. In looking at
"/usr/lib/site_ruby/1.8/puppet/provider/package/up2date.rb", I found
that
