CentOS-4.3 and PHP PostgreSQL extension.
I need to enable pg support on one of my CentOS servers. I know nothing about
PHP but DRUPAL requires a DB backend and we have standardized on pg rather
than mysql. The PHP.net page devoted to the subject of pg says that to enable
pg support PHP must be built with the flag "--with-pgsql[=DIR]" and that the
required support extension must be loaded via the /etc/php.ini file with the

Nagios docs

Hi, Ralph.
I'm almost done verifying and updating the Nagios guide works with both
CentOS 4.x and 5. Currently, the page is labeled "Nagios on CentOS 4.x."
I wanted to make sure the title reflects.
The new guide will work for both 4.x and 5 together, so would it be a
problem to rename that page to "Nagios on CentOS 4.x/5.x"

Nagios doc on wiki updated

Hi,
Just wanted to let everyone know I added a small section of notes for
upgrading Nagios from 2.5 to 2.6 using Dag's RPMs.
There was an issue with the RPMs (supposedly) reported on the Nagios
mailing list, so I just added my notes on upgrading. I didn't have any
issues other than the plugin mentioned I mention on the notes.
Thanks!

Subversion how-to section added to the wiki
Hey everyone,
I added a very very simple how-to for getting Subversion running on
CentOS (locally and across Apache)...basically aimed at a newbie that's
never touched svn before.
Let me know if anything is out of whack, needs changed, or if something
isn't right. I did go through and actually follow it with an install, so
it should be good.

OT: Tux500 Linux Marketing Program
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

I found this on my Newsforge newsletter this morning. A group has put
together a marketing program attempting to get some cash together for
Linux to get a sponsorship sticker on an Indy 500 car. CentOS is on the
list of folks who have contributed. Only $25 so far.

Wifi wpa_supplicant with atheros successes or failures?
I remember being a small part of and following this thread a few months
ago.
<http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2006-May/065091.html>
I've been attempting a go at getting wpa_supplicant running on CentOS
4.3 and haven't had much luck. I'm assuming my failure is my lack of
knowledge on the subject, but anyways.
First, my normal setup is as follows:

Upgrade 4.3 to 4.4 appeared to die half-way through
Interesting problem here...perhaps.
I just upgraded about 6 machines this morning after syncing a local yum
server with no problems...until I get to my personal laptop of course. I
did the usual:
yum update yum
yum update
It went about half way through and then the terminal seemed to just die.
It just sat there stuck in limbo. I let it go for about 30 minutes and
it never moved, so I killed the

ATI Radeon Mobility M6 LY & IBM Thinkpad R40
Does anyone have any experience with the combination of a Thinkpad R40
and the ATI Radeon Mobility M6 LY video chip? I''ve had CentOS 4.1, 4.2,
and now 4.3 running just great with 1024x768 resolution, but according
the IBM specs, this chip is capable of 1280x1024.
A quick lspci -v | grep ATI spewed the following:
