Grandstreams randomly go busy with Asterisk?
I've searched the lists but I didn't find anything exactly like this. I have two Grandstream BT101 phones connected to an Asterisk. Periodically, for reasons that I can't determine, one or the other (or both) of the BT101s decide(s) to go on permanent busy. Dialing that phone gives: -- Executing Macro("SIP/24567-7856", "dialphone|SIP/27654") in new stack -- Executing Dial("SIP/24567-7856", "SIP/27654|10|tr") in new stack Jun 15 14:23:41 NOTICE[1343506]: app_dial.c:536...

...servers simultaneously. I have searched the archives and see similar issues, but not the exact same one. I am on the current CVS stable version of *. Also, during IAX calls, every couple of minutes there is about a second of silence. Silence suppression is turned off on all phones (Grandstream BT101s). This issue does not occur during SIP calls. I do have a similar registration problem with SIP. There are two phones on one site that go reachable/unreachable. (See extension 6666 in the sample below. This is a B101 that is registered to my server, but it happens to be at the same location a...

Best echo-free and trouble-free system?
We currently have a 15-phone system using Asterisk, a combination of analog phones/Grandstream HandyTone-286 and Grandstream BT101s, and 4 X100Ps connected to analog lines. The system works well except for the occasional echo problem. I have all the echo parameters configured, removed all the extra incoming analog lines except to the PBX, etc. following all the advice on the wiki and on the mailing list. I'm not positive...

Doorphone vs. Grandstream BT101
I've done all the googling I can on this, and have come to the conclusion that a Grandstream BT101 can be abused to be a door phone. Could someone with access to one, confirm that the following is possible? Researched: 1. When set to auto-answer, dialing the phone will result in a short beep and instant speaker-phone connection. 2. When pressing the "message" button while

Grandstream budgetTone registration time out
...s do >not show their IP and although these phones can make calls , they >cannot be called. They Sip show peers only shows their IP when i >restart the IP phones. This is really annoying me now. Is there any >better solutions than just restarting the phones every day? Hi. I just got 2 BT101s yesterday. I had a problem with one of mine not being able to call out or receieve calls. I believe that the registration icon was not on the phone. I can't remember what was shown on Asterisk. This issue has come up before. I am behind a Linksys router using NAT/DHCP. I added qualify=60...

NAT and SIP
Hi, Does Asterisk have a limit to how many NAT'ed SIP clients it supports behind a single IP? I have the weirdest problem ever. I have three SIP endpoints. SNOM phones, if it matters. Their extensions are 200, 201 and 202. Apart from the username/password, the sip entries in sip.conf all have identical configuration. They're all NAT'ed behind the same IP. 200 and 202 registers

[Asterisk-Dev] Severe ISDN signal distortion in CVS-HEAD with octoBRI
...ard. The ISDN card is used to hook up to the telco and, if the site already has an existing telephony infrastructure, to a conventional PBX acting as an analog channel bank to facilitate the existing infrastructure. After been plagued by problems with call transfers and some other issues with BT101s, I decided to switch from the stable bristuff/asterisk to the CVS-HEAD version. Although this switch has solved a lot of problems for me, there have been considerably more complaints about echo since. More frustrating, nothing seems to help to get rid of the echo. One month ago, I converted a...

Is the X100P a WinModem?
So I've been on the Asterisk list for a long time. Mostly looking to set it up as a cheap alternative to a commercial MeetMe bridge, as a for-fun project. I keep noticing the Wildcard FXO X100P sorta seems like a Winmodem. Winmodems are basically a sound card chip tied to a pots port, where the Winders driver takes on the MO/DEM functions in software. I've always despised them as a data
