Proposal: cache directory tagging convention
...sync can easily recognize such
directories and, if so configured by the user, automatically exclude them
from transfers. (For example, via a new pair of rsync options,
"--exclude-caches" and "--include-caches".) My preliminary write-up of the

Support for CACHEDIR.TAG excludes?
...ts of "ignore everything". A protocol extension however
seems inevitable and that is the point where my courage dropped, read:
I was too afraid I could break rsync due to lack of understanding
about the protocol.
Would you consider adding according support?
