Help page of colors() : add a new example ?
...s by the numbers indicated
## in the figure.
palette(colors())
plot(1, col=630, pch=16, cex=10) # 630 is "tomato"
This code comes from the page 71 of the book I published in french:
Millot G. Comprendre et r?aliser les tests statistiques ? l'aide de R, 2nd edition. De Boeck editions, Bruxelles . 2011, 767 pages.
I wrote it since my students usually complain about the difficulty to select a color
from colors() when the names are displayed.
Kind regards,
Gael Millot.

ggplot zoomin
Dear All,
I am plotting a graph in ggplot, I would like to magnify the values between 0-1 without losing data in the higher range. How can I do that? neither scale_y_continous nor coord_cartesian works.
Thank you

Plotting the diff. between two curves
...0.948444
If I plot A and B, I will get two curves. However, is there any method to
find the signed difference between these two curves so that I will have only
one curve which shows the difference between these two curves?
Thanks

Build a matrix from another matrix by specifying the indexes
...ly part of vBase but is shorter. I transform vec1
so I get a vector with the same size as vBase and with each common element
on the same indexed row. If a value is missing in vec1 then I put a Na like
this:
vec1 vBase
Amsterdam Amsterdam
Na Bruxelles
Dublin Dublin
Frankfurt Frankfurt
Paris Paris
This is how I did it: vec1 <- vec1[match(vBase,vec1)]
But what I really want to is the same but on a matrix columns, for example
mat <- cbind( vec1, vec2 ,vec3)
I found a way to make a mat...

Does anyone know how to use tcltk to display jpeg images? The manual says
