GlusterFS as virtual machine storage
...tup in replica 2 using an older version of Gluster few years ago and it was unstable, corrupt data and crashed many times. Do not use replica 2. As others have already said, minimum is replica 2+1 arbiter. If you have any questions that I perhaps can help with, drop me an email. GlusterFS as virtual machine storage
There has ben a bug associated to sharding that led to VM corruption that has been around for a long time (difficult to reproduce I understood). I have not seen reports on that for some time after the last fix, so hopefully now VM hosting is stable. 2017-08-30 3:57 GMT+02:00 Everton Brogliatto <brogliatto at gmail.com>: > Ciao Gionatan, > > I run Gluster 3.10.x (Replica 3 arbiter or 2 + 1 arbiter) to provide > storage for oVirt 4.x and I have had no major issues so far. > I have done online upgrades a couple of times, power losses, maintenance, > etc with no issu...

NFS versus Fuse file locking problem (NFS works, fuse doesn't...)
...application to write after a while. We see this on the fuse client, but not when we use nfs. So the question I am interested in seeing an answer too is in what way is nfs different from fuse that could cause this. My suspicion is it is locking related. NFS versus Fuse file locking problem (NFS works, fuse doesn't...)
...u have jumbo frames (MTU=9000) enabled across the switch and nodes? if you have concurrent clients writing/reading, it could be beneficial to increase the number of client and server threads as well, try setting higher values for client.event-threads and server.event-threads. NFS versus Fuse file locking problem (NFS works, fuse doesn't...)
Hi all, I usualy advise clients to use the native client if at all possible, as it is very robust. But I am running in to problems here. In this case the gluster system is used to store video streams. Basicaly the setup is the following: - A gluster cluster of 3 nodes, with ample storage. They export several volumes. - The network is 10GB, switched. - A "recording server" which

Manually delete .glusterfs/changelogs directory ?
Hello, I just deleted (permanently) my geo-replication session using the following command: gluster volume geo-replication myvolume gfs1geo.domain.tld::myvolume-geo delete and noticed that the .glusterfs/changelogs on my volume still exists. Is it safe to delete the whole directly myself with "rm -rf .glusterfs/changelogs" ? As far as I understand the CHANGELOG.* files are only needed
