Quality of provider: VocTel
Any users of the VocTel VOIP service? (Canadian)
How have you found the quality (Choppy / smooth audio)?
Any problems registering? (I have been unable to register for hours)
After reading about the collapse of a big USA VOIP provider, I'm curious
Thanks,
OCG

Search on broadbandreports.com VoIP forum - there are several postings
(including a few by me) with instructions on how to downgrade the
DTA-310 to v1111, put in the SIP settings and upgrade to (not higher
than) v1234. I haven't tried it with *, but I assume it should work.

OT: Can I use a SIPURA with Packet8?
I have packet8 and I have spent many hours on the phone with them.
If someone has found away around there DTA configuration I would like to
know so I can bring it in house to my * box. But as far as your
question is concerned. No. Not that I know of. They wouldn't give me
any information about the configs.

Intel 537EP chipset, revisited
...an
educational endeavor for me, and I have to ask myself, "Why isn't the
wcfxo driver compatible with the 573EP?"
I ask myself this question because the code change to wcfxo.c to
support the generic versions was a mere tweak to catch the PCI device
ids properly. See:
http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/remark,8931677~mode=flat~days=9999~start=20
And furthermore, Intel uses the same driver for all of the 537
chipsets, so I would think that the FA82537EP chip would be compatible
with the MD3200 chip.

VoIP providers -- California, U.S.
Hi,
Just wondering if people could suggest a good VoIP provider that can
service the San Francisco Bay Area and the Los Angeles area. I've tried
race.com (recommended to me) but they're kind of hard to get ahold of.
Any other suggestions? This is for a business, so reliability is key.
I did see the recent thread about this, and while I saw a few mentioned,
I didn't see anything

Total newbie here looking to do a VoIP conference call?
I am looking to help out my company find a more budget conscious but
reliable way to hold conference calls between 5+ people. 4x a month we hold
several hour long conference calls during non-business hours. All of the
employees have high speed internet. Currently we dial up an AT&T conf using
regular analog phones.
I don't have a great grasp as to what Asterick is capable of, but my
