Re: Welcome to the "Flac" mailing list
Hi, I'm having problems encoding certain WAV files to FLACs. I'm working for a download store so we get loads of different WAVs from hundreds of suppliers and generally they encode ok, but sometimes we are getting unexplained errors. I've looked through the archives for the last few months but I can't see any discussions that relate to this specific problem. This file:

dd if=$file ibs=1 count=$(($(stat --printf='%s' $file)-2)) of=$file.new of course if you run this on one of the files that doesn't have the extra 2 bytes you're gonna lose something you didn't want to On 11/1/07, Alex Brims <alex.brims@gmail.com> wrote: > Ok, we actually worked this out - there were 2 extra bytes doing nothing at > the end of the files. ...am for linux that could automatically take these bytes off, without running the risk of removing good data? Or is there a way to get the flac converter to ignore this error and create the file? I'm running flac 1.2.1 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4. cheers, Alex On 01/11/2007, Alex Brims <alex.brims@gmail.com> wrote: > > Hi, > > I'm having problems encoding certain WAV files to FLACs. Stop words in queries
I''ve run in to an issue that I''m not sure how to address. Basically, I''m building queries with occur_default Search::BooleanClause::Occur::MUST, and using the StandardAnalyzer which does stop filtering. The stop filtering is working beautifully on the indexing side. The problem is that when the query parser parses through a query with a stop word in it, say

Odd number of samples in a stereo wave file
I'm new to the mailing list but am interested in picking up a thread from earlier in the month but which I thought had become confusing so I am starting again. I should admit from the beginning that I am a colleague of Alex Brims who started the original thread. The thread in question related to a wav file with an extra two bytes at the end causing a partial sample error in the reference flac encoder. There seemed to be confusion over what was actually wrong with the file but as Brian Willoughby deduced correctly, the fil...

Atcom IP-4B ISDN IP PBX?
Hello For customers who need a small IP PBX to handle up to four ISDN lines (in France, so I guess that means EuroISDN) instead of a PC + Asterisk and an ISDN gateway box, has someone already played with the Atcom IP-4B? www.atcom.cn/IP-BRIM.html Any feedback appreciated.

EXT3 corruption when FS is full
Hi, (I'm not subscribed to ext3-users, please CC: me) Kernel: 2.4.18. I've just converted a 100(ish) MiB ext2 filesystem to ext3 (umount, tune2fs -j, e2fsck, mount) and it seems to be happy, except... As a test, I then filled the filesystem up, lastly copying /usr/bin (as root, so the filesystem became brim full). I then umounted it, and ran e2fsck -n -f /dev/hda6, and got the

wrong values in "df" and "btrfs filesystem df"
Hallo, linux-btrfs, First I create an array of 2 disks with mkfs.btrfs -d raid0 -m raid1 /dev/sdb1 /dev/sdd1 and mount it at /srv/MM. Then I fill it with about 1,6 TByte. And then I add /dev/sde1 via btrfs device add /dev/sde1 /srv/MM btrfs filesystem balance /srv/MM (it run about 20 hours) Then I work on it, copy some new files, delete some old files - all works well. Only df

Help please-draggable
I asked the other day about this problem but haven''t received a response. Trying again: I just downloaded 1.6 and can''t get a simple draggable to work, which is weird. I know it''s not my browser since the demos are working. Here is my simple code. I''ve also had the "new Draggable" between the select tags. Didn''t change anything.

Ogg Vorbis and Java
Okay guys, I've completed a first run at integrating the Ogg Vorbis libraries and Java together. The tarball's pretty small, so I just figured I'd post it to the list. Who should I normally send this sort of thing to? Assuming, of course, you guys even want to distribute it. This preliminary version is only usable on Red Hat Linux as far as I know. I'm hoping I can convince Aaron
