I want to seriously work with IPv6 and not have stray IPv4 functions messing with me. So in /etc/sysconfig/network, I commented out NETWORKING=yes. I have NETWORKING_IPV6=yes. In /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts I altered ifcfg-eth0, setting BOOTPROTO=none. That was enough for eth0 to only have IPv6 working on it (have IPV6INIT=yes and IPV6_AUTOCONF=yes). But lo had IPv4. I need to update a CentOS 4.0 system to CentOS 4.3. In my opinion, I should start out with a "yum update yum centos-yumconf" and then follow that with a "yum update". Hello Everyone, My grub.conf is as following. title Linux Init Break kernel /vmlinuz root=/dev/sda6 ro rootwait break=y initrd /initrd.gz What I expect is by adding *break=y* to cmdline, init will pause early in the boot process and launch an interactive sh shell which can be used for troubleshooting purposes. But kernel is disregarding break=y. And it loads up without launching sh shell.

Has anyone been successful at using the TARPIT target in iptables under CentOS 4? I am using CentOS 4.3, fully updated with iptables-1.2.11-3.1.RHEL4 and kernel-2.6.9-34.107.plus.c4 Doing a locate on TARPIT returns: # locate TARPIT /lib/iptables/libipt_TARPIT.so This makes me think that the TARPIT target would be valid, however when I try to use it, I get the following reponse: # iptables

I installed the new firefox 1.5.0.5 packages and had a few issues. I had read a similar post on the nahant list. I would doubt that this is a centos-induced problem. The browser crashed when opening the extensions manager and also with a very simple webmail page. I have reverted to the firefox 1.0.8 packages and these problems have disappeared.
