Activate/Deactivate Hardware echo cancellation on TE406/TE411 when briging
Hi,
How would one activate/deactivate hardware echo cancellation on the
TE406 card?
Can it be done per channel?
I'm going to run TE406 in the following scenario:
ISDN -> TE406 -> PABX
I understand from Steve Underwood's site that echo cancellation is not
good for faxes (and they do that themselves).
So what I want to do and bypass echo cancellation for selected
extensions before

[Bridge] [PATCH] bridge: Set vlan_features to allow offloads on vlans.
When vlan device is configured on top of the brige, it does
not support any offload capabilities because the bridge
device does not initiliaze vlan_fatures. Set vlan_fatures to
be equivalent to hw_fatures.

cant start hvm because of ioemu network device.
Hello.
I''m trying to set up hvm for linux or windows.
I start with a very simple configuration without disks at all.
but the virtual machine does boot or even "power up".
If i remove the ioemu from the network device and specify type=brige or
type=route everything goes fine, the boot process is starting but then I cant
get network working in the guest.

How to block DHCP traffic in bridged Tinc VPN?
Hello tinc folks,
I?m new at Tinc networking, so if you only show me a link to a solution
of my problem, I?ll be very happy.
My problem is, I use a Tinc bridged network with 5 Fritz!Boxes routers
to connect my whole family together. But I can?t use a DHCP service in
the Tinc VPN, because if someone use DHCP request on a fare away
location, he probability get my gateway for internet traffic,

Fw: Vyatta VC5 inplace of Xen-bridging.
...on 1 host. One of them is
Vyatta (VC5). Currently we are using default Xen-bridge for
communication between VMs(inter-domain or intra-domain).
I want to assign Vyatta(a guest VM) exclusively to replace Xen-bridging for VM to VM communication.
Means the traffic sent from guest-1 to guest-2 bypass briging and route through vyatta(VM), instead of going to Dom0.
As William Von Hagen says in his book ''Professional Xen Virtualization''
"The choices provided with a standard Xen installation are the following:
❑ network-bridge: Bridged networking (the default)
❑ networ...

[Bridge] Little problem with 1.x versions (if_indextoname)
Hi,
I have used bridge-utils 0.9.6 so far in a kernel 2.4.26, uClibc and ppc environment.
When I use version 1.0.3 I have the problem that I do not see the brige with the 'brctl show' command if it is not fully set up. It was working with 0.9.6.
I tracked the problem down to an 'incompatibility' in bridge/uClibc/kernel.
0.9.6 uses its own if_indextoname function which uses the

Xen network-route : mix Public and Private IP on a Front-Back architecture
Hi everyone,
I need your help. I would like to create a front-back architecture with Xen.
My physical server has only one public Interface.
Currently, my DOM0 is using the network-route configuration:
*(network-script ''network-route netdev=eth0'')
(vif-script vif-route)*
My DOM1 is configured with a public IP + proxy_arp with DOM0. DOM1 can

Samba network shares over VPN
Hi there,
I have two computers, one Windows XP other Windows 7 (actually a dozen
each) which are members of a Samba domain. Users have no problem login
in to the domain, running the login script to map network drives and
accesssing files on them, for both computers.
I want to give users remote access using a VPN (OpenVPN to be exact).
The idea is to login on a disconnected computer using a

tinc - switch mode bridge
Hi
I am testing running tinc in switch mode. , my topology is as follows
Site 1 (tinc-srv01) -> Site 2 (tinc-srv02)
I have configured the bridge interfaces with ip addresses and able to ping
between bridges. I then setup a server on each site and tested layer 2
connectivity between the two servers. Topology as follows.
Server 1 - *Site 1* (tinc-srv01) -> *Site 2* (tinc-srv02) - Server 2

eth aliases and xen
Say, I''ve found a fairly reproducible error:
If you have ethernet aliases, when you first start xend (I
use /etc/init.d/xend start) your brige fails to initialize properly.
However on the exact same build/hardware/server removing the aliases
produced a solid server for both domain0 and domain1
I tried to fix the bridge with "brctl addif xen-br0 eth0" and that would
work, but
