Strange samba errors
...rk, if the rest of the LAN is
connected to the switch, where the source- and target-PC of the
backup-procedure are connected to and why will the backup fail, but will
work if they are the only PCs connected to the switch (because of samba
errors).
I don't get this...

mangled user_attrs from LDAP
I have setup dovecot to allow users to login using their email address
or uid and have found a strange behaviour when the user logs in using
the email address for a "username". I am using OpenLDAP for a backend
data store with a rather customized schema. This behaviour occurs for
both POP3 and IMAP logins. For some users it works as expected, but for
others the pass_attrs->user

OT FS : STEC ZeusRAM devices
.... This has left us with some Stec
ZeusRAM devices that we now have no use for. Purchased brand new from Avnet
in August of 2011, put into service in September, used for approx. 1 year.
We have 6x disks available - part number Z4RZF3D-8UC. If anyone is

Occasional storm of xcalls on segkmem_zio_free
So I have this dual 16-core Opteron Dell R715 with 128G of RAM attached
to a SuperMicro disk enclosure with 45 2TB Toshiba SAS drives (via two
LSI 9200 controllers and MPxIO) running OpenIndiana 151a4 and I''m
occasionally seeing a storm of xcalls on one of the 32 VCPUs (>100000
xcalls a second). The machine is pretty much idle, only receiving a
bunch of multicast video streams and
