Seeking compiled OS X "contrib" packages
...contrib packages via the XWindows version), and if so, would you be willing to end my suffering? I have seen some posted online, but as luck would have it they don't overlap much with the ones I'm interested in. I'd rather try to get them all in one fell swoop. Thanks, -Bear Bear F. Updated package: Boolean v1.03
...nvoluted combinations -- e.g., (A and B) or (C and D) produces Y; or, p(Y) = 1 - [1-p(A)*p(B)] * [1-p(C)*p(D)] -- can be estimated, and dependence of probabilities can be modeled by including some of the same independent variables in the separate logit or probit equations. The derivation is in Braumoeller, "Causal Complexity and the Study of Politics," Political Analysis 11(3), 209-233. Version 1.03 is a service update which ensures that all documentation, in particular the documentation of S4 methods objects, is compatible with R 1.8. Previous versions will produce warnings upon c...

updated package boolean 1.5
I have just uploaded an updated version of my boolean package (v1.05), which should be propagating through CRAN's mirrors soon. Boolean permits estimation of Boolean logit and probit models (see Braumoeller (2003), full reference in help file, for derivation). Boolean logit and probit are a family of partial-observability n-variate models designed to permit researchers to model causal complexity, or multiple causal "paths" to a given outcome. The various "paths" are modele...

Curious warning in R for OS X w/Xwindows
...ters on the screen -- but are nevertheless annoying. Moreover, I don't get this message in a regular terminal window when I use the "man" command; there, the viewer works exactly as it should. Has anyone else encountered this, and does anyone have a fix? Thanks, -Bear Bear F.
