Brasero/cdrecord/growisofs with selinux users confined to staff_u
...39;t more of a bug or a need to adjust the selinux policy packages to allow the functionality. The user story is this: Gnome3 user wants to burn a CD/DVD. The system is selinux enforcing, selinux boolean cdrecord_read_content is set to on, and the user is confined to staff_u. When the user runs Brasero to burn a disk, the burn operation fails. /var/log/audit/audit.log contains the following: type=AVC msg=audit(1556724762.446:1133340): avc: denied { read } for pid=8296 comm="growisofs" name="devices" dev="proc" ino=4026532225 scontext=staff_u:staff_r:cdrecord_t:s0...

Wine CD-ROM on Mac OS X
Can Wine access DVD-RW devices natively on Mac OS X like it can on Linux? I was using Wine in Linux to run ImgBurn and it worked great, but I recently switched to Snow Leopard and I don't know how to configure this. I tried adding the Volume that was mounted by Finder. I tried adding /dev/disk2. Neither worked. I really like ImgBurn and do not want to abandon it if possible. Thanks.

iso size?
I've been being told, over and over, by K3B, Brasero, and Isomaster, on two machines, with three different downloads of 6.0, that the file is too large for the medium. Nautilus and the browser that die each download all say it's 4.4 GB; I've tried with two +R and an RW DVD, all of which are labelled 4.7 GB Two of the files are 32-bit, and...

CentOS 6 x86_64 DVD doesn't boot
Hi Everyone, I downloaded the CentOS 6 x86_64 DVD ISOs and burned the first image to a rewritable DVD. When I tried to boot my new home server off it, it didn't, and then this was printed to the screen: ETCDisolinux: Found something at drive = EF No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found! boot: The same disc works fine in my 4 year old HP laptop, and when installing CentOS 6 as a KVM.

xorg--x11-fonts-75dpi vs xorg-x11-fonts-100dpi
What is the difference between xorg-x11-fonts-75dpi and xorg-x11-fonts-100dpi? Under what circumstances would one want to use the 75dpi version versus the 100dpi version? If you have both installed, does the xorg server just pick the one that it considers best based on some criteria? Should you have both installed? Is anything gained by having both installed? As you can see I don't know

Unable to install Centos 7 64 bit
Thanx to all who replied. I downloaded using torrent and that was indeed fast. However .... after I made sure it had the correct sha256sum, and after I burned it to DVD, and and dd'd the DVD back to a temp file and again checked the sha256sum of the temp file, all was OK. Same sha256sum. So, I rebooted the machine and it booted up from the DVD. I got a message that it was not using VNC,

CR repo update disaster for my desktop.
Sorry for top post, my android BlueMail will not let me insert at the bottom. I have found that tracker-extract seems to trigger a segfault. I note this is not updated in CR, but comes from base. Removal of tracker seems too harsh as it has dependant modules like brasero, evince, grilo, nautilus and totem. Maybe there is an obscure relationship in tracker that need attention. Registering a FWD account in asterisk
...the name fwd1 is defined in Asterisk acting as a SIP proxy. 'fwd.pulver.com' is the address of the host hosting this client (which is not true). 'nat=yes' mean that the client host is behind a NAT router Ho can this thing works? I have just a single line like: register => 21250:brasero@fwd.pulver.com/399 in '[general]' section and this is all. It works. I make something wrong or I miss something?? Re: Getting WIne to see hidden folders in Linux?
Sorry to jump off-topic but you may be the person I need to talk to. I'm a new user of Linux/Wine (but have a ton of computer experience). I installed ImgBurn under Wine today and it appears to run correctly but does not actually write to the cd Is it ok if I pm you with a bit more detail? Thanks, Lou
