More weirdness with PHP bindings
Hi all, There's been a odd bug reported to us by Daniel Menard while working on the PHP bindings: "I then tried to run the dotest target...All tests passed, except the one about get_matching_terms (smoketest.php line 94). I added this line before the exit: for ($i=0; $i<strlen($terms); $i++) echo $c=ord($terms[$i]), ' ', ($c>31?$terms[$i]:''), "\n";

building a multi-user-jukebox with icecast..need some advice
hi I'm trying to build a prototype for something I've had in mind for quite some years and finally is approaching to become reality. But let me explain the circumstances: I have a collection of albums (5000+) ripped to HQ VBR MP3's and use my own web-interface to operate my jukebox (written in php, does all I need, playlist manipulations, add whole albums, search my whole collection

[LLVMdev] Slight troubles following "Getting Started" instructions
As a suggestion, what about having "Common Uses for LLVM" that list out what the LLVM n00b needs if he wants to... (*) Get hello.c to compile and run in LLVM bitcode (This is the "what's the absolute minimum I need to do to see this thing in action?" question.) (*) Use LLVM as a back-end for a custom language or interpreter (This is the "OK now that I've seen the

R for Computational Neuroscience?
Hi all, I've noticed that many computational neuroscience research groups use MATLAB. While it's possible that MATLAB may have some features unavailable in R, I suspect that this may instead simply be a case of costly tradition, where researchers were taught MATLAB as students and pay for it as researchers because it's all they know. I'd like to attempt to break the cycle by

DUNDi and Voicemail
Ugh. We thought we'd fixed some problems by using regexten and DUNDi. Guess not. We have a configuration with three Asterisk boxes. Phones register with a single, primary asterisk box under normal conditions. For voicemail deposit, retrieval, we trunk the calls over to our asterisk voicemail server. However, the voicemail server now has no knowledge of the location details of the phones,

[LLVMdev] Slight troubles following "Getting Started" instructions
OK, counter-examples. I am channeling Joe, an average C/C++/C#/Java developer who's heard about LLVM and is curious to know what it is. Joe thinks.... I surf to http://llvm.org/docs/GettingStarted.html#quickstart because I am interested in this LLVM stuff. 1, 2, 3. What documentation? What am I supposed to read? Aaah! This is scary! 4. Install either 4.0 or 4.2. Which one do I want? Which
