brainfart #67453 - hyper-index
I don''t know if this has been suggested before but.. What about adding support for a bookmark or hyperlinked index? The idea is that a large compilation such as a long speech or an album would be maintained as a single file, but on playback, the player would show numerous ''tracks'' which are really just bookmarks relating to starting position of the specific part or

data.table not available as win binary for R 3.5 yet?
Dear all, to my astonishment data.table cannot be installed on R 3.5 Windows. When checking the package page, the Windows binary is available for download. When checking the server however, I can't seem to find data.table. Also install.packages() says the package is only available in source form and may need compilation. Compiling using Rtools 35 is no problem. Is this merely an issue of

[LLVMdev] Re: passmanager, significant rework idea...
...P->getAnalysisUsage(), likewise with the pass name. My idea was to add dependencies as the passes were being organised, such as a functionpass depending upon callgraphscc as part of the traversal bit. Now that I think about it, the traversal variable is all that's needed. So chalk it upto brainfart! > +public: > + PassUnit(Traversal traversal = LINEAR, Pass *Pass) : > + traversal(traversal), > + > + virtual const char *getPMName() const =0; > + > + virtual const char *getPassName() const =0; > + > + virtual bool runPass(PassClass *P, UnitType *M) =0; > +}...

IPMI serial console
Hi all, A recent thread inspired me to try getting a proper serial console working on a Supermicro X9SCL motherboard with IPMI. However I find that while I see loader messages and the getty I enabled after boot I don't get any kernel messages which does somewhat limit the utility.. The BMC creates COM3 (/dev/cuau2) which works with getty. I modified /boot/loader.conf like so..

[LLVMdev] passmanager, significant rework idea...
The patch below basically hammers out some ideas as to where I'd like to take the passmanager in LLVM. I've tried thinking things through, but I'm still a n00b, so some criticism would be more than welcome. =) Starting from line 191 down. If you're wondering why I created a patch, well that's because I found thinking in passmanagert.h the most productive. -- Regards.

[PATCH 0/3] Xen Microcode update driver for 2.6.38
From: Jeremy Fitzhardinge <jeremy.fitzhardinge@citrix.com> Hi all, This series adds a new microcode driver for Xen. The Xen hypervisor can deal with all the low-level details of doing a microcode update (Intel vs AMD, doing all the physical CPUs present on the system, current and future, etc), so all the driver has to do is make a hypercall to upload the microcode into Xen. This only
