WINS Server TIme out registering IP
I am seeing the following messages logged every 20 min on a Centos 5.5 Samba 3.5.7 (SerNet RPMs) PDC. wins server = yes is set and the 172.17.1.50 address is the address of the PDC. From a Windows client perspective the the domain is functioning as expected. There is a Samba BDC and mulitple Win2008 R2 member servers in the domain. Are they anything to be concerned about? ...ake about the alignment of 'data' and 'qlp_coeff'? It would be really nice if these were both doubleword-aligned. Finally, in a more general context, is there an easy way to build for profiling, or do I have to edit the makefiles? I'm using gcc and gprof. good news, I finally got the asm compilation working with both autotools and project builder. it's all checked in. Brady, can you try it out too? autogen.sh may need a little tweaking depending on your environment. here's what mine looks like (I have some of the required libs in local places in the user acct that I build flac in, and the rest I get from Fink installed in /sw). aclocal -I $HOME/local.autotools/...

...s apparently deprecated). That's not the problem anyway, because I get the same behavior if I change it back after running aclocal. I'm running OS X (darwin-5.5) with autoconf-2.53, automake-1.6.2, and libtool-1.4.2, all of which should be the latest stable versions. Altivec Optimizations
Hi, I have been playing with Altivec, and I rewrote a couple of the routines in assembly. Looking at the archives, I noticed that there may already be some effort on this. Anyways... Right now, I have two routines working. They need to be cleaned up, made relocatable, and documented; otherwise, they seem to work fairly well. I see an overall ~27% speed improvement when encoding with the

OK, checked it all in (only minor modifications: I used the existing FLAC routines for allocating aligned memory). on a side note, I got the Project Builder stuff all working again. still have to figure out how to integrate assembly compilation though. Contrast interaction effects in lmer object for reciprocal transplant experiment
...env r? Part of my misunderstanding concerns the reporting of the fixed effects of the model, which are named as the fixed term concatenated with a level (e.g. originw). Does the way lmer names the fixed effects influence the contrast matrix I should specify? Many thanks in advance, Steve Brady __________________________________________ Steven P. ...e different assemblers; elsewhere Apple uses the GNU tools. I'm also a bit surprised that people are using flac on an Altivecful Linux/PPC system (but I did attempt for such a system to fall back to the non-altivec C code). End digression. FLAC/assert.h overwrites /usr/include/assert.h?
...BUG is defined. (Some compilers, including gcc, implicitly define NDEBUG when optimizing, but of course it can also be explicitly defined, which is in fact done by default by configure.in .) So, does MSVC's assert.h just not have the appropriate #ifdef NDEBUG ? Or am I missing something? -- Brady Patterson (brady@spaceship.com) How come I can't hurt this damn turtle?
