I am already logged in as a root so no problem in that regard.

problem regarding samba
...ror: A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
And when I try to start the daemons it says command not found.I already have gcc installed in my system.What to do

Samba thing which was my first suspicion but I have reached the end of the
road with what to try next.
