Where should my Xdefaults file be?
Apparently in order to get Japanese input working, I need to edit my
Xdefaults file.
By hunting on the web, I've read that I can create my own Xdefaults
file, but it's been very difficult to determine where I should create it.
I simply want to add the following line to this file:
*inputMethod kinput2
... so that Japanese input will be enabled. I want this setting to be
global for all

Is this a bug or expected behavior?

IMAP instead of Maildir on Ubuntu Precise
Why is dovecot using Maildir and not IMAP. Or is it using even using
Maildir at all?
Currently I'm using mailman, postfix and dovecot to manage a mailing
list. Mail is sent to thufir at dur.bounceme.net which the "mail server
delivery agent stack provided by Ubuntu server team" of dovecot-postfix
handles fine, keeping it locally, so far as it goes. The mail ends up
in /home/thufir/Maildir, which the balsa mail client reads fine, as it
handles Maildir fine.
However, I would like...

link_to_remote issue after upgrading to rails 1.0
Hi
I''ve only recently noticed my notebook was using an old version of rails
(0.13), and so upgraded it to 1.0 (this is on gentoo linux).
The upgrade has broken some previously working code, and I''ve not been
able to find a work-around.
Previously the following call:
<%= link_to_remote("some string",
:update =>
