Install ubunto domU
Dear *, I''m more used to work with RedHat like OSes. Still, I did not denied the request from a user who wants a domU based on ubunto. I usually use virt-install to do the job, with a script similar to this one: #!/bin/sh BASE=SL-4.7-i386-pv \ virt-install --nographics \ --nonsparse \ --paravirt \ --noreboot \

vmx_update_guest_cr() losing EXCEPTION_BITMAP setting
Running a heavily modified xen-unstable changset 19590:f80cf52a4fb6 with debugger_attached set, I was seeing the debug traps getting lost from the EXCEPTION_BITMAP in vmx_update_guest_cr() when transitioning from real to protected mode. In my codebase, I could fix this trivially by clearing the debug_state_latch and letting vmx_do_resume() reapply the setting. However, while it looks like a valid

Re: [Fedora-xen] another xen build and pvops kernel
...not too late switch back to Xen with PVOPS kernel. XenLinux 2.6.34.7 aka Suse is really dangerous . It outperforms pvops kernel about 15-20 % under Xen 4.0.1. I don''t mention KVM performance. It''s not a competitor for OpenSuse 11.3 after the most recent "zypper update" Boris. --- On Mon, 10/18/10, M A Young <m.a.young@durham.ac.uk> wrote: From: M A Young <m.a.young@durham.ac.uk> Subject: Re: [Fedora-xen] another xen build To: xen@lists.fedoraproject.org Date: Monday, October 18, 2010, 6:17 AM There is less urgency to test now because 4.0.1-6.fc14 has no...

AW: Re: [Xen-devel] 2.6.34.7 with SUSE patches: Invalid Kernel
Jup, 64 Bit Kernel build is done now and works, but 32 Bit kernel config is different, as I use 64 Bit in Dom0 and DomU, 32 Bit only in DomU incl. DomU with DVB etc. XEN options are the same, it''s only the selection of drivers... Andrew, any idea? Boris, do you know a safe way to create a 64 Bit config out of a 32 Bit one? Sorry, I am not so used to kernel building... BR, Carsten.
