Just to note, BoostPro has already expressed a willing to run some BuildBot to
do Windows testing. I'm not sure it met with much response, though.

I don't much like the idea of doing a release with so many buildbots down...

"starting" dovecot
...t;dovecot start" command. I do, however, run
/usr/local/libexec/dovecot/imap on port 9xxx. I talk to the server
through port 9xxx and through the preauth tunnel. Is this arrangement
OK? Are there some things that will only work if "dovecot" is invoked?
Thanks,

I do not know the history here, but I do not see a problem with you setting up a buildbot. Did someone specifically object?
However, buildbots do require that som...

Still seeing this. I'm fully synced. I nuked my build directory. Ran
configure --enable-optimized. Ran make. Same problem.

Backing up ZFS snapshots
I have an OpenSolaris snv_105 server at home that holds my photos,
docs, music, etc, in a zfs pool. I backup my laptops with rsync to the
OpenSolaris server. All of my important data is in one place, on the
OpenSolaris server. I want to backup this data. I want to protect
against losing my data, and I would also like to recover previous
versions of files when I make mistakes.

[LLVMdev] host triple for Win64?
What host triple should I be using to specifically target x86_64 /
Win64? I notice there is no Win64 in the OSType enum, but there is
Win32. And yet I know llvm can target Win64, right?

MacOS ssh implementations slow
.../usr/bin/scp -r user at IP:directory /tmp
MacOS:
real 1m54.649s
user 0m1.879s
sys 0m1.680s
Linux:
real 1m8.447s
user 0m0.400s
sys 0m0.856s
Is this a known issue? Is there any way around it? Slow SSH is really
intolerable, since I use it for everything.
Thanks in advance,

Moving to hardlinks?
...dovecot supports copying messages via
hard-linking. I have a huge mailbox hierarchy of existing messages
that I'd prefer to store that way. Is there a simple way to transform
non-hard-linked storage to hard-linked?
TIA,

fts = squat solr
...s = lucene" works by itself?I
tried
fts = squat lucene
but:
$ doveadm index '*'
doveadm(dave): Error: fts: Failed to initialize backend 'squat lucene': Unknown backend
So, is that syntax obsolete, is the wiki wrong, or am I doing something
wrong?

No manpage for "doveadm fts" command
Just wanted to make sure this issue was registered separately from the
overall confusion I'm exploring in another thread, even though I mention
this there too.

works out.
I wonder if there's a future envisioned for FTS with Dovecot that's
suitable for small installations (i.e. doesn't require a Solr server)
and has a good chance of correctness and stability?

doveadm fts optimize undocumented
Subject says all. Timo, would you write something up where the world
will find it? Also, it would be great if doveadm fts was covered in the
doveadm manpage.
