LDAP integration
We're into our new server build. We have built Samba / LDAP servers before, but never a PDC. I'm not sure that this question is PDC-specific though. What is the difference between smbldap-useradd, and adding a user to the LDAP database normally e.g. with cpu useradd? Are smbldap-tools needed for new installs, or only where an existing Samba database is being migrated to LDAP? What is

Newbie
Hello, I am new to SAMBA and Linux and need help finding documentation on the setup and how to integrate SAMBA and LDAP with Windows based clients. I have done a lot of looking around and found a lot of information, but it all seems to be written for someone with some knowledge of both software packages. I did pickup two Linux Admin books from Tech Republic and they are helpful. But they seem

Underground Asterisk Command Set?
Hi People! Is there an underground asterisk command reference manual that the Gurus here share amongst themselves only? :-) The reason I ask is that sometimes I see mention of an asterisk command and I scramble for my asterisk book (pdf) to look it up but can't find it in there. For example, I saw here last week people talking about the Set() application with the "If" conditional

Eve and morals
Taboo subject, but a learning experience nonetheless? I read about the source leak of the client. I don't play Eve anymore, but would it be morally wrong to use the source code to see what's going on and further Wine development using a current game as a reflecting post? Does this matter at all? I mean, are all Wine issues right now related to translations of DirectX code to OpenGL or

Integration between R & latex
As an R absolute beginner and an expert (very old) statistician and latex user, I'm interested in using R to produce AUTOMAGICALLY tables in latex format. I mean I would like to have the means to build an R procedure generating **FROM INSIDE** a table or a graph to be inserted directly into latex. I've read http://hesweb1.med.virginia.edu/biostat/s/doc/summary.pdf where the author speaks

Learning the R way – A Wish
There is something that I wish I had that I think would help me a lot to be a better R programmer, that I think would probably help many others as well. I put the wish out there in the hopes that someone might think it was worth doing at some point. I wish I had the code of some substantial, widely used package ? lm, say ? heavily annotated and explained at roughly the level of R knowledge of
