Installing R on ubuntu 10.04 LTS :solved
...ined successfully helped me to install the newest
version of R. I have been fiddling with this for days and I am quite
grateful to all who contributed.
I formally posted to r-help@r-project.org before somebody suggested posting
to r-sig-debian@r-project.org.
Best regards
Ogbos

logged out and went home since I had overstayed battling with it. I wonder
how the update happened with the numerous errors that were reported. I wish
I will be able to find out, otherwise, I am off with my analysis with the
new version :)
Many thanks!!

R upgrade from 2.7.1
My R version is 2.7.1 (on Debian) and some packages are asking for > 2.10.
I've done all things from http://cran.r-project.org/bin/linux/debian/ but to
no success.
Apt-get upgrade is doing nothing.
server:/etc/R# apt-cache policy r-base-core

Changing R_LIB_USER variable in ubuntu...
Hi,
I'm an experienced R user on windows, but new to linux. This may be an

Upgrading to R 2.5.1 on Ubuntu Feisty 64
Hi there,
A new thread was started on the R list about problems to upgrade R to
version 2.5.1 and we were re-directed on this list. We are two with
exactly the same problem and the same distribution (Ubuntu Feisty 64).
We are unable to upgrade to R 2.5.1. The r-base-core package is version
2.4.1 in Ubuntu repositories while all others r-cran related packages
are upgraded to R 2.5.1

Help about princomp
Hello,
I have a problem with the princomp method, it seems stupid but I don't know
how to handle it.
I have a dataset with some regular data and some outliers. I want to
calculate a PCA on the regular data and get the scores for all data,
including the outliers. Is this possible on R?
Thank you for helping!!!
