(when) does rsync daemon sync ?
...ush daemon before the
data is truly written to physical media (whatever that is).
Is there a way to make the rsync daemon use sync
or whatsoever to make sure the rsync command returns
only if all transferred data is written to physical media.
thanks in advance for any answers/insights

rsync fails to retrieve file (if local file is incorrect)
...filesystem.
Because of a power-cycle a local file got corrupted.
This file is /flashfs/isd1, it has the correct size but
wrong MD5SUM (cd5...).
Using rsync to retrieve the right file (from a remote machine)
fails!
If I delete the file first, it works (see below).
How is this possible ?

Need help getting roaming profiles to work
...might change that.
Some of the settings were carried over from the previous setup because
I was worried about breaking the web server functionality. I'm still
learning about all this and I'm not sure which things I can change and
which I can't.
Thanks for any help you can provide!

a problem? I've seen references to that being an illegal character.)
