Wx::FileDialog and common dialogs
The documentation for Wx::FileDialog is incorrectly generated: http://wxruby.rubyforge.org/doc/filedialog.html Every time the ''*'' (for the wildcard character in file filters) appears, the doc instead switches between boldface and normal. Also, it seems like the links under "See also" are broken. Feature request: Regarding all modal common dialogs (ColourDialog,

manpages in mdoc(7)
Dear authors of Vorbis, currently, the manpages that come with vorbistools are written in the traditional man(7) markup language. I am proposing to rewrite them into the semantic markup of the mdoc(7) language. I am willing to do the work. Both the man(7) and mdoc(7) languages have been around for decades, and are supported by the prevalent formatters: groff(1) on most Linuxes and mandoc(1) on

rewrite manpages to mdoc(7)
Dear authors of NSD, currently, the manpages that come with NSD are written in the traditional man(7) markup language. I am proposing to rewrite them into the semantic markup of the mdoc(7) language. I am willing to do the work. See a version of nsd-checkzone.8 below as an example. Both the man(7) and mdoc(7) languages have been around for decades, and are supported by the prevalent formatters:

Evolution search menu
When I switched my main desktop computer from Fedora to Centos, I moved my email from Sylpheed to Evolution. (Reason: Sylpheed for Centos doesn't boldface unread messages in the message list box and newer Sylpheed versions won't compile on Centos.) Evolution works fine, but I can't figure out how to get rid of the "previous/next" buttons that appear at the bottom of the

wine-users digest, Vol 1 #1005 - 6 msgs
Hello all, Flame me if you must but I have a problem, I'm either too thick to work it out or the docs miss something vital to my machine. I have read through the docs and here is my problem.. I have installed wine from Mandrake 7.2 distribution - wine 20000909mdk1, but alas, it won't go. I have built a config file based on how to docs - refer below: [Drive C] "Path" =

Response to R across the university
This email isn't asking for assistance, but I thought R-help readers would find it interesting. This week we offered a half-day introduction to R for researchers at Augsburg University. The response was astonishing. Although Augsburg has no medical faculty and no engineers, there was far too much demand, with interest from every faculty (barring theology, "for one small

Missing objects using dump.frames for post-mortem debugging of crashed batch jobs. Bug or gap in documentation?
Martin, thanks for the good news and sorry for wasting your (and others time) by not doing my homework and query bugzilla first (lesson learned! ). I have tested the new implementation from R-devel and observe a semantic difference when playing with the parameters: # Test script 1 g <- "global" f <- function(p) { l <- "local" dump.frames() }

I need to get the Hessian matrix. i.e I need (d^2f/dx^2), (d^2f/dxdy), (d^2f/dydx), (d^2f/dy^2).I can get these using the D function. now I need to evaluste the hessian matrix for

rsync.yo doc patch
Patch includes fixes to man page including: - Typos/Spelling - Clarity - Special characters. - Moved around text explaining example. Make sure I didn't confuse the exclude list/file paragraph (line ~961 after applying the patch), I haven't used the feature and the motive of that paragraph is a tad unclear. Hope the patch is helpful. Never had used yodl before. Thanks for rsync. /a
