Any suggestions for an analog to SIP gateway that would support these devices. I need 12 phones supported. I cannot use any analog cards in this case - different buildings. However, I understand how to get an overhead paging system to work with respect *, however I am now looking for a small(?) paging amp, that I could hook 3 or 4 horns to. I would like to just have the * extention be routed to a soundcard and out an output, so I would like an amp that is voice signal activated. Has anyone found anything

I have a customer that has two buildings that are connected with a fiber link. We have a single Asterisk server to cover both buildings. Now the customer went and bought an overhead paging system for the remote building and they want to integrate it with Asterisk. Hi I just tried to implement gpt extlinux booting in my archboot project. extlinux installs fine but i'm not able to boot the hd afterwards. Setting partition to boot on in parted doesn't seem to have an effect in GPT mode. Is there any way to get it booting, i haven't found any docu about it. I see a lot of chatter in the archives about intercom and paging, but has anyone addressed zone paging? Each of the 50 telephones in a large clinic would be members of one or more paging zones. Someone could then page Dr. X in zone #1. Would this be possible with analog phones? SIP? Thanks, Mike

Does anyone have an (overhead) paging system that they like that works with SIP? We've got a client with an old paging system that (supposedly) just takes an rj11 POTS connection, but when we put an SPA Cisco adapter on it, it doesn't auto-answer the call, so paging never happens.
