I got file conflicts between the sysreport and sos packages on the file /usr/sbin/sysreport. I unchecked sysreport in the package updater UI and the rest of the update is proceedng.

I have googled for this and also grepped the hplip sources without finding it. It is used to convert the models.dat file into models.xml. Subject says it all. Running yum install kernel or yum install kernel-2.6.18-53.1.13.el5.i686.rpm gives "nothing to do". Yum runs daily via cron. After my / disk seemed to be failing and found many files disappeared, I decided to remove it. I moved my other disk to it's place. Long story omitted.
