detect SIP phone availability before dialing
Hello,
I need to detect availability of SIP phone before dialing. I need to
know if phone is
BUSY, CHANUNAVAIL before dialing. If phone is "free", then I will dial
it.
I need for automatic callback (.call files), but I need to know if it
is available both
SIP phones before calling.

Newb question- method not working
I know this shouldn''t be in the view but to test the code it is.
Anyway if I do just session[user] I get back the user id (the id from
the user table)
which is good.
However this code does not work.
<% a = session[:user] %>
<% uname = User.find(:first, :conditions => id = a) %>
<%= @uname %>
TIA

It doesn't appear to be using any kernel modules. I would have
expected to see output such as this:
supermin: internal insmod virtio.ko
It seems as if you might not be setting SUPERMIN_MODULES; or maybe you

Hello,
I have connected asterisk box with legacy PBX Alcatel OmniPCX 4400 (and also
another * box connected to A4200).
These PBXes have function to assign name to extensions and display it on
phone.
Asterisk box is connected via PRI with euroISDN signalling (also I have tried
QSIG).
Is it possible to set callerid with name and display it on alcatel digital
phones? With command SetCALLERID
