AWS backups of gluster vols
Good Afternoon, Can someone point me to some documentation on best practices for backing up bluster volumes created from EBS storage in AWS? FAQ Wiki
It has been asserted that the use of CVS for maintaining the Shorewall documentation has been a barrier to community participation. Don't make cookie-stored sessions a default
Hi! Before Rails 2.0 is coming, I suggest not to make CookieStore the default session storage. It stores clear-text values on the client-side and the integrity check hash can be brute-force attacked. I understand that this has been set due to speed advantages, but I believe it''s better to make better security a default. I''ve written a blog post about this

Yager on ZFS
Not sure if it''s been posted yet, my email is currently down... http://weblog.infoworld.com/yager/archives/2007/10/suns_zfs_is_clo.html Interesting piece. This is the second post from Yager that shows solaris in a pretty good light. I particularly like his closing comment: "If you haven''t checked out ZFS yet, do, because it will eventually become ubiquitously implemented
