Hello, I am working on a real-time app for embedded hardware. I have two questions about the variable bit-rate option: 1. Can one designate a maximum bit-rate with the VBR option? 2. Does VBR chunk the bit-rate up and down, i.e. what is the granularity/speed of the changes in the bit-rate and can that granularity be defined and/or defined on the fly? Hello again, I managed to get Speex to compile on cygwin on windows xp running (not emulated) on a black macbook (2GHz Intel Core Duo), but I am now having audio issues. The audio for a 32khz .wav (not live input, static file) encoded and decoded with Speex is mangled in a way that sounds like audio feedback or just noise. Perhaps someone else has had this experience? Maybe a type size
