pblms with samba 2.X /3.x and NT--W2k
There is OBVIOUSLY something wrong somewhere.
EITHER a WHOLE bunch of us are stupider than we thought, the documentation left off a step, or there is something SO blatently obvious that we are ALL staring it in the face and missing it inches in front of our faces.
This is exactly what I've had, (BUT I *D*I*D* have it running ok ...)
and I STILL havent figured it out yet,...

Has anyone had any success adapting The Localization plugin in order for
the language to be selected based on a user''s account (i.e:session)?

Debugging a SIP / AudioCodes Problem
I have 2 identical AudioCodes MP-112s. They have the same config except for
the SIP usernames/passwords and the device IP. The configs in extension.conf
and sip.conf are also identical. On one box, when I pick up the phone, I
get a fast busy and the logs/debug show an automatic hangup. On the other
device, I can make calls without a problem. I can even call the phone that
can't make a

It really doesn't matter whether you think that a blatent mistake is the cause, because in the time it's taken you to argue otherwise, you might just as well have sorted the prob, and moved on.
What does this give us?
The key gain, is in eliminating the question of "spam detection".

Samba (winbind) integration into an Active Directory domain
...t pretty close, but seem to be missing something.
When my test user logs in, a home directory is created for them, the
console throws up the last login information, and then immediately
logs them back out.
I've searched the log files (messages, log.smbd/nmbd/winbind) but
don't see anything blatently obvious. I followed the Samba docs, and
have since tried variations that are abundant around the web.
Technical bits:
I'm authenticating via kerberos using winbind against an Active
Directory implementation on top of a Windows 2003-r2 server.
I'm running a fresh up-to-date (as of today)...

A new era in Radio! Don't miss The Experimental Beat! (fwd)
Hello,
Excuse the blatent self-promotion and certain degree of off-topicness, but
I thought people here might find this of interest.
We just recorded a radio show using Fideliphone (www.fideliphone.com)

help pages not install lead to termination of R
I installed rw0641 from the binary rw0641b.zip
but not the help files (not rw0641h, not rw0641w ).
I do not like the MDI so I edited the ./etc/Rconsole to read
MDI = no
and I commented out
#toolbar = yes
#statusbar = yes
and I even changed
pagerstyle = singlewindows
Now when I start Rgui, and do > ?ls
causes R to crash, instead of reporting "help page not found".

What kind of Ogg Vorbis-services you would like to h ave?

Samba 3.0 as NT4 PDC with MIT kerberos 1.3 (v5) for authentication?
Hi All-
Please pardon my repost of my usenet article in this list.
Previously, I asked if Samba 3.0 could be an Active Directory Domain
Controller (ADDC). I have the feeling that the answer is no. If so, then
I have this other question:
Can I use Samba as an NT4 PDC for making a Windows NT4 domain that
would host several M$ Windows XPP client computers as domain
clients/members, but have

Your disrespect for myself and my contributions have led to this. Just because
I suddenly have something shiney that interests you doesn't give you the right
to scream "pretty - mine - you too stupid to have" and snatch it. It's theft,
blatently so, and you can be damned sure I'm going to be vocal about it even if
I don't have enough interest to take it to court.
What that leads to for myself, or my further ability to work with Xiph, will be
in direct line with how widely your views are shared within the organization.

The project has been forked, not superceded.
Work on OggPCM is continuing, the team working on OggPCM2 is free to submit
their own draft but some are not welcome to continue work on OggPCM due to
their recent social conduct.
