scp and filenames with weird characters
I've experienced some troubles using scp with remote files with spaces,
amphersands or parantheses in their filenames on Linux hosts.
This happens:
stain at false:~$ scp "bender.linpro.no:blapp blapp" .
scp: blapp: No such file or directory
scp: blapp: No such file or directory
stain at false:~$ scp "bender.linpro.no:blapp&blapp" .
bash: blapp: command not found
This might be abused, like this:
stain at false:~$ scp "bender.linpro.no:blapp&cat /e...

Deadlock with ATA disk on FreeBSD 4.8 Stable
...The evil began after we installed this ATA disk. It only happens for
one file on this disk, the other 10000 files are fine.
Do you have a idea why break into the debugger doesn't work anymore ?
Even if we have a hard-error on the disk, this should still work,
shouln't it ?

MFC of reentrant realpath.c
Hi,
I've seen that this commit never got MFC'd:
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/src/lib/libc/stdlib/realpath.c?rev=1.14&content-type=text/x-cvsweb-markup
Would it be possible to do that or are there any objections
out there ?

IO rate of tar-in, what can we expect on a qcow2 image?
...ore
higher, dependent of course on the underlying disks of the host. Here we get clear benefits of fast
storage.
Has anybody of you got more than those 160MB/sec with tar-in, and if so, how did you do it?
Are there maybe some limitations in the XDR/RPC mechanisms of tar-in ?
Best regards:

There are new binaries planned. They are built even. Just being held
up by lack of testing time.

Status of FreeBSD 6.2?
I haven't seen much on the lists lately regarding the status of
FreeBSD 6.2, so I'd like to ask the Release Engineering team for
their thoughts and projections. The calendar on the public "Release
Engineering" page hasn't been updated since November, and those of
us who await 6.2-RELEASE need to have some idea of what to expect.
I don't know about everyone else, but

FreeBSD 4.9 RC1 (i386) now available
Not all FTP sites have the first release candidate, but it is at least
available from ftp.freebsd.org. Please download and install this
candidate and help us find bugs BEFORE we call it 4.9-RELEASE.

openoffice port build on FreeBSD 4.9
I am very new to FreeBSD and Unix in general. I may
have more problems than I think, but here goes. I am
trying to make depend && install WITH_BSD_JDK=TRUE
clean with openoffice. Everything works fine until I
get to the jvm section (seen below). I have tried
looking for this on the net, but I have not been to
successful in finding a solution.
Thanks for your help.
