There is a simple solution: Hardware certified per MIL standards (US
DOD MIL standards) support kerberized telnet, so ssh can be declared
as "not needed" / "obsolete" for that purpose.

RT/Linux SCHED_RR/_FIXED to combat latency?
...T/Linux SCHED_FIXED or SCHED_RR be of help in such a case, e.g.
put all ssh processes into the SCHED_FIXED scheduling class, with a
priority higher than the non-interactive compute processes?
Also, do I interpret it correctly that each forwarded TCP connection
has its own process?!

hackers celebrate this day: openssh drops security! was: Re: heads up: tcpwrappers support going away
....
Hackers will celebrate this day - openssh drops security.
Time to move on to ssh.com's ssh variant.
Seriously - the discussion is stupid: If tcpwrappers support gets
removed than a replacement is required which is executed at the same
location and not much later in the code.

Evaluating a port to RTEMS (embedded OS with single address space and no processes)
Hello,
I am searching a SSH server for remote administration of an embedded
application running on RTEMS (https://www.rtems.org). This environment
has neither virtual memory nor user and kernel space. So this is like an
application running in kernel mode only.
Would it be possible to run (a very basic version of) OpenSSH in such an
environment using e.g. threads instead of forking new

Once I get the rebuilt image to load OK in my virtual machine, the next step is to configure isolinux.cfg and the kickstart.cfg to launch from the USB key, but that's not a question for this list.

anova and post hoc multicomparison tests
Hello everyone,
Like a lot of people, I have been looking for functions in R doing ANOVA

As I have been a little bit disappointed, I have bee looking through the
net for such "open source" softwares. I found one in:

I have begun to use it, and it seems good and

OpenSSH on Windows, ssh cannot |bind()| localport to port < 1023
Hi!
----
I'm doing some testing with the ssh client OpenSSH on Windows 10
(10.0-19045) but due to firewall restrictions I need to run my
experiments from a local port < 1024 (not negotiable).
I thought that this was no problem... but ssh |bind()| fails with
"address in use" (yes, I checked netstat, no one is there) for any
port < 1023.
Then I checked $ netstat # and $ netsh

Support for transferring sparse files via scp/sftp correctly?
Does OpenSSH scp/sftp mode transfer sparse files correctly, i.e. are
holes skipped and not transferred as chunks of 0 bytes? [1]
We're asking about sparse files in the >= 1PB range, which consists of
multi-TB holes with around 600-2000GB of valid data.
[1] Note the difference: Sparse files can have data sections which
consist of valid 0 bytes. Holes in sparse files represent regions

since that's the only one I could get to work on our new hardware. The
machine that we're using has the following specs: Dell Power Edge 2650 with
dual Xeon 2.8GHz, 4GB RAM, and a Digium TE210P T1 adapter. Our peak load is
roughly 30 users.
I hope that's enough info.

I think that is what is called a straw-man argument.? If a device can be
compromised in the way you suggest, then I am sure it will be replaced,
but it will be replaced because it

[PATCH] Allow scp to copy files that start with a Windows drive name.
On Windows, ?scp C:/foo/bar remotehost:? will attempt to connect to
a remote host ?C? and access file ?/foo/bar?. There is currently no
syntax or flag to allow copying files that start with a drive name.
This patch changes the behaviour (only on Cygwin) by considering
that a single letter followed by a colon is a Windows drive name
and thus an absolute path. This is also more consistent with the

Problem with attended transfers...
...when one of our users initiates an attended transfer as described
above, they get a message saying that the extension is invalid. For
blind transfers, the #2 extension works fine.
I'm not sure what to look for in the logs to try to track these problems down.
Thanks for any guidance,

ChanSpy and Sipura 2100 jitter.
I have an analog phone connected to a Sipura 2100 which in turn
connecteds to * over a 100mbps LAN. When I do ChanSpy on a bridged
call, it causes massive jitter. When I attempt ChanSpy with a
Grandstream GXP-2000 the monitored call is clear. Has anyone had this
happen? Any suggestions?
