utility to update indexes ?
...(plus caching the result, and
present old values if the directory timestamps hasn?t changed).
I think this checking of unread messages webservice would be much
nicer on the filesystem if it instead used the dovecot indexes, so I
created a small utility based on utils/idxview.c that do that:
http://blag.tanso.net/code/unread.c
But this woun?t work if the maildir has been modified outside of
dovecot (i.e. webmail usage). Are there any simple interface I can use
in this short snippet for noticing that the index is out of sync, and
update it ?

[Bug 10925] New: non-atomic xattr replacement in btrfs => rsync --read-batch random errors
...mentioned the problem on #btrfs at FreeNode, so the horse was out of
the barn already :-(
The bugs described above occurred with rsync-3.1.0-5.fc20.x86_64 and
kernel-libre-3.16.7-200.fc20.gnu.x86_64. The btrfs code in kernel-libre is
unchanged from the corresponding Fedora kernel. The distro is BLAG
200k/x86_64, under development.

ZFS bechmarks w/8 disk raid - Quirky results, any thoughts?
Hi All,
I''ve just built an 8 disk zfs storage box, and I''m in the testing phase before I put it into production. I''ve run into some unusual results, and I was hoping the community could offer some suggestions. I''ve bascially made the switch to Solaris on the promises of ZFS alone (yes I''m that excited about it!), so naturally I''m looking

Remove :js responder
https://github.com/rails/rails/issues/12374#issuecomment-29446761
Here in discussion I proposed to deprecate JS responder because this
technique is insecure and not pragmatic way to transfer data.
It can be exploited in this
way http://homakov.blogspot.com/2013/05/do-not-use-rjs-like-techniques.html
i find this bug very often so i know what i''m talking about. With it
