OT: hardware: blackmagic video capture cards
Hi, folks, I'm still trying to find a video capture card that won't crash Dell servers, and ran across a Blackmagic BDLKDUO2 DeckLink Duo 2. It claims to support Linux. I'm also seeing, in the few non-Blabkmagic or sales pages I can find, that they like "binary blobs". I also haven't been able to find anything about o/s or library requirements. Has anyone run across these cards, or know any...

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc4 & mingw32 & bash
Hello, Everyone. All blackmagic (playing with pwd, etc) in my build description has gone with patched bash (pwd builtin was just hardly disabled). It's not good, I myself prefer modifying libstdc++ configure script to use PWD_CMD environmental variable as main gcc ones. I'm working on this feature. -- With best regards,...

Poor gluster performance on large files.
...t several months trying to get any kind of high performance out of gluster. The current XFS/samba array is used for video editing and 300-400MB/s for at least 4 clients is minimum (currently a single windows client gets at least 700/700 for a single client over samba, peaking to 950 at times using blackmagic speed test). Gluster has been getting me as low as 200MB/s when the server can do well over 1000MB/s. I have really been counting on / touting Gluster as being the way of the future for us. However I can't justify cutting our performance to a mere 13% of non-gluster speeds. I've started...

Can USBstikA boot USBstkB ?!
...; as an additional module in the initramfs, that you would need to rebuild. AFAIK `lsblk` will only be in the fully running linux, which can't tell me the capabilities of syslinux ? > Didier I want a solution based on the theory: the understanding of the HUMAN designed syslinux. It is not BLACKMAGIC to be discover. ==TIA

Can USBstikA boot USBstkB ?!
Yes this is the SAME question, that I can't get an answer from a month ago! I have the files, from a USBstik [now stolen] which I previously could edit at boot time, to boot any of my IDE or SATA partitions. Now, with a laptop, I want to boot the same IDE or SATA via a USB-adaptor to IDE/SATA. And also I want to boot a Toshiba 500GB USB disk. The obvious question is: why [if] the old system
