[Bug 1228] New: [REGRESSION] nft cannot load big set anymore
...y: P5 Component: nft Assignee: pablo at netfilter.org Reporter: oleksandr at natalenko.name Created attachment 530 --> https://bugzilla.netfilter.org/attachment.cgi?id=530&action=edit Huge set Hello. After nft v0.8.1 is released, I cannot load my huge set of blackholes anymore. nft just eats CPU at 100% while loading the rules. I've waited for 5 minutes before killing it. v0.8.0 performed the load well in ~15 seconds. Next, I've recompiled the nft v0.8.2 with the debug info and then attached to it with gdb while it wastes CPU to get a backtrace: === (...

Impact: ======= The use of "sets" is crucial for managing non-contiguous ranges of IP addresses that have various outcomes. While the IPv4 blackhole address space is relatively small, there are presently over 88,000 entries in the IP...

Controlling unix print queues from PC
...OK but I can't manage the queue in any way. Attempts to cancel prints and stop or start the queue from the PC have no effect - not even any messages in the logs. The unix print queue is set up OK and reacts to local lpc, lpq, lpr and lprm commands just fine. This is what I have in smb.conf: [blackhole] comment = Dummy printer for testing path = /var/spool/samba print ok = Yes print command = /usr/ucb/lprm -P%p %s lpq command = /usr/ucb/lpq -P%p lprm command = /usr/ucb/lprm -P%p %j queuepause command = /usr/etc/lpc stop %p q...

dropped bytes in "tc -s class" output
Hi All Is there any output that counts the number of dropped bytes (not packets) just as in "Sent" in "tc -s class" output? I have an HTB arrangement here I can see "dropped" in father/mother 1:0 qdisc but NOT in each class (they are all zeroes). These dropped are packets or bytes? Why these "drops" do not show thenselves in its own class(es) under its

mgcv, gam
Hola! I have some problems with gam in mgcv. Firts a detail: it would be nice igf gam would accept an na.action argument, but that not the main point. I want to have a smooth term for time over a year, the same pattern repeating in succesive years. It would be natural then to impose the condition s(0)=s(12). Is this possible within mgcv? I tried to obtain this with trigonometric terms, aca:

smbmount problems when mounted share goes offline.
(using samba-2.0.7 on Debian Linux 2.2.15) Hi, I'm wondering how do I get around the problem when you smbmount a share on a win32 machine and that machine reboots, the mount becomes a blackhole. If you attempt an 'ls', 'df' or anything that would access that mount point the program then goes into a state of void and cannot be killed, leaving the proc open until reboot (another way?) and the mount "busy". Any suggestions on how to unmount the share and remount...

[Bridge] Any way of knowing a packet's been defragmented
Hello, Due to a recent change in the bridge code, we now need a way of knowing if a packet has been defragmented. The bridge code now checks on the packet size and drops packets that are too big for the output port. Defragmented packets will get refragmented later, so they shouldn't be dropped. I've been reading the defragmentation code and can't find an easy way of knowing if a

Applying a DNS RBL to deny authentication?
...kemailfilter.com/auth-hack.txt This is a list of IP addresses that attempted to authenticate against my fake AUTH advertizing on servers with no authentication. We do front end spam filtering for thousands of domains and I decided to advertize authentication where there is none and I accept and blackhole all authenticated email to those servers. I have harvested the IP addresses in this list that is available through an RBL. It seems to me that a nice dovecot feature would be the ability to do a black list check against IP addresses connecting and deny access if listed. Thoughts?
