PDC Controller Error
...the following error:
The user could not be added because the following error occured:
The trust relationship between the workstation and the primary domain
failed.
An extract from the log shows only the following:

Specifics are:
Slackware v8.0 running kernel v2.4.19, Samba 2.2.7a.

No subject
...ribly terribly slow.
The share is on a pc with SuSe 7.1 with Samba updated to 2.2.0, duron 900
and 256mb sdram. Also database of act got maintenance yesterday.
Tried many (op)lock options, etc but still got no succes :(.
Is there a solution?

Samba Server Icons disappearing
I have Samba running on a server in a large WAN - there are over 800 NT and
Novell servers listed that I can find, not to mention numerous DEC VAXs, etc.
When loaded, the Samba server works fine. Unfortunately, it does not show
up on any of the browsers. If I put the IP address and the NetBios name
into the lmhosts file of the individual work stations, they can log into the
Samba server, and

Samba - Windows 2000 Client Speed
I've been running Samba v 2.07 for over a year on a small sub network
with excellent results. Win NT 4.0, Win 98, and Win 95 machines all
connected properly, and transfer speeds and reaction time is quite good.
One of the Win NT machines was just upgraded to run Windows 2000. The
connectivity still works, but I noticed a severe degredation in transfer
speeds to and from the Windows 2000

ICMP Error
I just installed pre 9 of kernel 2.2.0. I am now getting echoed to the
screen of whatever virtual terminal I am in the following message:
172.16.81.99 sent an invalid ICMP error to a broadcast
This is repeated for a number of IP addresses.
Obviously, the problem is two fold. Firstly I need to find out what the
problem is with the servers. However, I find it somewhat annoying to
